I didn't get to see much of the village, instead I focused on holding onto my breakfast as we sped through the village. Thankfully, it didn't take long to arrive at Wiliam's home.
Stumbling off William's back, I tried to get over my motion sickness while Wlliam transformed into his human form and quickly put a skirt on.
He then turned to me and frowned, "Are you alright?"
"Peachy." I gimmicked, instead turning my attention to his home.
It was quite impressive honestly. The house was a huge, double storey building with flat roofs and several square windows. At least twenty people could live in there by my guess.
Of course, that was my unprofessional opinion.
Still, I had to admit the architecture in this world was much better than I'd expected. I believed the housing would be simple, caves and badly built homes, but the buildings I'd seen so far showed craftsmanship.
And they were smart about the building materials too, having learnt from Ahi that the mud used kept temperatures cool within the house on hot days and warm on cold ones. Wasn't sure how that worked, but I was happy it did.
Suddenly the wooden front door burst open and something sped past me. It took me a second to realize that someone was leaping into William's arms.
"I'm so happy you're back!" The female with a bushy tail squealed as William swiftly caught her in his arms. A look of fear flashed on his face for a moment before it turned sweet, his attention completely on her.
"Did you bring the female? Was her mate scary? That falcon didn't do anything to you did he?" The female began bombarding him with questions.
I watched the onslaught barely able to hold my laughter at the sight. The poor guy looked so lost, unsure what to say or which question to answer first.
"Ahem!" I coughed, deciding to spare the jaguar from any more questions.
The female turned away from William and oh my goddess was she the cutest thing I'd ever seen. Her light brown hair was messy, likely unkempt, but her big brown eyes and full cheeks made her look so adorable.
I had to resist the urge to squeeze her cheeks. We were both grown women and I had to remember to treat her like one. Not like some squishy plushie.
Her eyes widened at the sight of me, clearly not seeing me earlier. She then pulled out of William's arms and exclaimed excited, "Oh! You must be that strange female with the snake mate... Are you a snake too? I've never met a female feral before... William, have you?"
She didn't even see William shake his head at her question as she continued rambling, "Hmm... But maybe you're not... Ferals are scary looking and you don't look scary... Ooh... What type of beast are you? I'm a squirrel beast-"
"Freya, darling, why not show our guest inside first." A deep male voice murmured suddenly, interrupting the female from her questions.
I turned my head to the front of the house to see a tall, slender man walking out. He wore a clothed robe similar to mine and Freya's clothing, but it was wrapped around one shoulder instead of both.
He was breath-taking with a mix of feminine and masculine features, looking like an idol, with long red hair and eyes. And he moved quite gracefully, gliding towards Freya and wrapping his arms around her before nuzzling her head.
"Oh right!" Freya clapped her hands, snapping my attention back to her. "I'm such a bad host. I should've invited you in first."
"You're not a bad host, Freya." William interjected as he tried to move closer to Freya. "You just got excited."
"Yes, you're such a good female." The red haired added as the two males competed for her attention.
Um guys...
Thankfully, Freya hadn't forgotten about my existence and pulled out of their grip. She ran over to me and grabbed my hand before dragging me to her home. Her strength surprised me considering her small size.
"Let's head inside and talk!" Freya declared loudly. "I have so many questions for you."
"Um... okay." I murmured back, noticing the red haired was giving me a glare.
Was he jealous? There was no way he saw me as competition, right? Then again, females were limited in this world so males had to compete for their attention. It didn't help that as beastmen their instincts made them territorial.
I guess that's partly why ferals were hated so much beyond the kidnapping of females.
They refused to share when everyone else put up with it for the greater good, I guess you could say. They would rather force a female into their lifestyle than share her with another.
The thought made me glad Ahi was so different and kind-hearted towards me. I knew he fought with his instincts sometimes, seeing dark glints in his eyes a few times. But the fact he never acted on them and would talk about it.
Well, it made me happy.
Gosh, I'm falling so hard for this man. I blushed at the thought. It was way too fast for me, but I'll just deal with it later. It's not like I don't have time with Ahi.
That in mind, I turned my attention back to Freya's home, taking in the interior. It was homely with lots of natural light and furs everywhere.
Either for decoration, but some part of me guessed it was probably so Freya could walk around on something soft. I noticed she was barefoot and bet her males didn't want her hurting her feet.
Another two beastman suddenly appeared and began gushing over Freya telling her that some room upstairs was prepared for her. My hunch was it was some receiving room of sorts.
Freya let go of my hand as she led me to this mystery room and thankfully just in time. Her mates were gazing at me weirdly and I was starting to feel like I'd entered a lion's den.
The girl herself was oblivious to the whole thing so I stuck close to her hoping they wouldn't do anything with her around. They probably wouldn't, but one couldn't be too careful.
By the time we got to the mystery room I counted seven mates. How that woman did it, I needed to learn.
The room Freya led me to was a giant space covered in furs and had a big round table in the center. It was low so you could sit on the floor and bowls of fruit and meat covered the wooden top.
Freya went over, one of her mates pulling her into his lap. I sat down opposite her and her mate, watching as he tried to feed her.
She pushed the fruit away, turning to me with her eyes gleaming. "So tell me everything!"

Hopefully Freya teaches Elisa lots XD
