I was almost by the gate entrance when Richard was catching up to me from behind.
I turned around. "What the fuck you want?"
He stopped there, his hands held up. "Pete, you shouldn't do this man. It's safe here."
"Bullshit, Rich." I pointed at him. "Father Lawson is not coming back. He's using his damn religious view as a lie."
"He wouldn't do that. He's doing this because he had sinned."
I didn't want to listen to his bullshit. I pulled the revolver and aimed at him. Rich was shocked and took a step back, his hands still held up. "Don't do it."
"I won't." I stepped backwards several time before passing the gate. "The Father's view manipulated you all into thinking your safe." I chuckled. "I don't think I can trust any of you anymore." I aimed near his foot and pulled triggered.
When the gunshot rang out, Rich jumped and staggered backwards. I took the chance and ran away, not looking back.
