"Oi, miss, you should return that." I said at the girl who was wearing a zipped up black jacket. The snow was falling on her long blonde hair, the end looked like it was dyed with pink, though the color had weathered. We were in an alley, so it looked like she belonged to a gangster.

She laughed. "So you were following me? Stalker?"

I narrowed my eyes. "I could've called out to you outside the store you know?" I crossed my arms. "But I chose not too... because it looked like you were hungry."

"Why the hell would you care about a stranger?" She looked at me, especially at me letterman. She chuckled. "Oh, I get it now. You were meaning to say that because you want to pick me up, did you?"

"That didn't even came in mind. You look like you're still a high schooler. A minor. Aren't your parents worried about you?"

She looked down. "They don't give a shit about me."

I know I shouldn't involved myself, but I was concerned. "Abusive?"

"No, they don't care about me, even after my change of appearance."

"Ah, attention seeker?"

"Th-Why the hell did you think of that? I'm not one!"

I held my hands up. "Sorry, kid. The way you say kinda seems like it." Then I looked around. It was getting way too late now. "Just look, can you just stay at my place. It's nearby. It's not safe out here."

She narrowed her eyes. "Why would I do that with a stranger I just met?"

"I'm going to be honest, but I would've done it by now."

She sighed. "Well, at least you're honest about it."

"People need to have both pessimism and optimism to work."
