It was weird being home, I'd find myself cleaning like I did in Orochimaru's hide out, scared that if I didn't, Jiraiya would get mad, and hit me like he did.
But I knew Jiraiya would never.
"Akari, get dressed, we're going shopping to get you some more clothes" Jiraiya said as he watched me get dressed
It's been a week since we've been back, Akari adjusted well, but I, I hadn't, it's was hard for me.
I still had marks from Orochimaru, I don't even let Jiraiya see me naked, scared of what he'd think of my body, some marks I could hide, like the small ones on my face from being hit by Orochimaru or from him throwing objects at me.
I'm sure Jiraiya picked up on it, how I avoided cuddling into him, how I avoided his touches, I was scared, I shouldn't be scared of my husband, but I am.
My period was still nowhere to be found, and I have to tell Jiraiya today, I needed to know if I was pregnant or not, but I was hoping I wasn't, not with that monster's child.
But I knew if I was, I'd love them anyway.
"Cute, you look beautiful like your mom" Jiraiya said as he looked at Akari who walked into the room, a smile on her face
"Thank you dada, I'm ready" She said as she held her arms up, wanting to get picked up
Jiraiya picked her up, her arms wrapping around his neck.
I tried not to get emotional at the scene, they've grown so close, and I hate how distant I was with them.
Naru, Akari and Jiraiya have been bounding but it wasn't working for me, why wasn't it working for me?.
"Y/n, are you okay?" Jiraiya asked, breaking me out of my thoughts
"No, no I'm not" I said as I wiped my eyes
"What's wrong?, you can talk to me baby" Jiraiya said as he walked over to me, taking my hand into his empty one
It took everything in me not to flinch away from him, my body calming down in his touch from its tense state.
"I-, might be pregnant Jiraiya, I-I don't want it, I'm scared" I told him with a shaking tone
"And I haven't been able to bond with you and Naru like Akari has, why is it so hard for me to bond with you two" I said as I began to break down, withdrawing from Jiraiya
"Akari, how about you go play in your room for a second, while I get mommy ready?" Jiraiya said to the girl as he put her down
"Okay papa" She said as she walked to her room
"No, no, I've got you" Jiraiya said as he kept his hold on my hands
"Baby, I don't care if it's his baby your might be pregnant with, I'll take care of them as if they're my own, and it will take time for you to feel comfortable enough to bond with us" Jiraiya said as he cupped my cheek, wiping my tears away
"Knowing you, you did everything in your power to keep Akari safe, I-, I can't imagine what you've been through and frankly, I don't want to, but I know he hurt you, in more ways than one" He said as he looked me in my eyes
"But I'm here, I'm not going anywhere and I won't let you go anywhere, I'll wait for all eternity until you feel okay enough to let me back in, I'll wait for you, forever" He said with full sincerity which made a sob tumble from my lips as I broke down
He shouldn't have to wait for me, he shouldn't.
Maybe I should seek therapy, that could help me out, I won't let my family suffer because of what Orochimaru did, I'm bigger than that, I'm not my demons.
"You're the love of my life y/n, my wife, I made a vow to you, until death due us part, I meant it, I still mean it" Jiraiya said as he wiped my tears that fell
I couldn't hold it back, standing on his toes my lips met his, I was still nervous, my arms shaking as they snaked around his neck.
He held my waist to keep me from falling, since I was standing on his feet to even reach his lips.
His lips were gentle on mine, not apply any pressure, he was letting me lead.
Which I appreciated, he wasn't letting the desires I knew he had to take control, he was letting me do whatever I was comfortable with.
"I love you, Jiraiya" I said after pulling the kiss
"I love you too, y/n" He said in a gentle love filled tone, hands holding me gentle
"Yay, mommy and dada finally kissed" Akari cheered
Me and Jiraiya looked at her, a smile cracking on my face, there she sat on Naru's hip, me and Jiraiya must have been so caught up that we didn't notice he was home.
"Naru, how was your mission?" Jiraiya asked the boy
I stepped off of his feet, my cheeks blushed, I haven't gotten to ask Naru about his team yet, he's been busy.
"It was fun, though, Me and Naruto got in trouble" Naru said scratching his head
Naruto?, as in, Minato, Naruto?.
"Naruto?" I asked in shock
"Oh yeah, me and him are on the same team, he's really cool, but he gets us in trouble a lot" Naru explained for me
So he was on the same team a Naruto, that would make Naru 13 and Naruto 12, right?.
Is it bad that I was struggling to remember my son's age?.
"That's, cool" I said with a smile, feeling proud of him
"His sensei is Kakashi, one of Minato's students" Jiraiya told me
"Minato?, how has he and Kushina been?, I'm sure they're proud of their son" I asked Jiraiya, his face falling
"W-what's wrong?" I asked him
"He and Kushina passed, the night Naruto was born, they Nine Tails attacked the village, they sealed him inside Naruto" He told me in a whisper so Naru wouldn't hear
My heart dropped, how much did I truly miss?, I can't believe they're gone, I-.
"We'll met Naruto one day, when he's ready" Jiraiya told me as he squeezed my hands
"I-, okay, yeah" I said with a nod
"Now, let's go shopping" Jiraiya said loud enough for us all to hear, Naru and Akari cheering
This is what I've wanted for years of my being trapped, we'll make it through this, together.
