S.2.2 Crises, kisses and Chunchullo

I was a couple of minutes by the shopping centre and was  early at home. I was alone because Mark was at work and Jake was at school of course Aiden was all the time with me.

I was making the laundry and Aiden was sleeping in his room when I heard suddenly the door opened. „Come on my Mom and Dad are not home yet." Said Jake's voice.

„Are your parents okay with you skipping school?" Asked Mike his friend. „I talked with my Dad 'bout it he says it's okay as long as it's not a lot." Jake replied and wanted to go upstairs but I cleared my throat.

„Jake what are you doing here?" I asked him seriously. He turned around slowly and smiled innocent. „I forgot something?" It was more a question as a reply. „Mike know yours parents about you skipping school?" I asked him.

„No, but I talk to them right now, bye Jake." He said fast and run outward probably to get home. „Now your turn young boy." I said angry to Jake. „I heard what you said about your Dad is that correct?" I asked him.

„Yes, he caught me just like you and he said as long as it doesn't happen that often it's okay." he replied sad. „No, it's definitely not you are grounded I will talk to your teacher about it." I sighed and went to Aiden.

Time Skip

„I'm home honey." yelled Mark and he goes to the kitchen where I was. „I'm mad at you." I said and didn't turn around to welcome him. „Why?" he asked me confused.

„Because you told our child it's okay to skip school. I caught him with Mark." I told him. „I don't want him to be workless and can't go to the college. Mark it's important to go to the college." I said to him and became louder at the end.

„It's okay baby." He tries to calm me down. „No, it's not okay you talk to him later that's not okay to skip school and it's very important to go to college." I told my husband.

„Okay, I'm sorry." he whispered in my ear and hugged me from behind. „By the way we are tonight at Dad's home because of Gloria's Chunchullo." I said and left the kitchen. I was still a little bit angry at him.

Time Skip

„Hello Gloria". I smiled and hugged her. „Hi, April how are you." she asked me. „Oh well Jake skipped school today and I caught him so I'm not fine." I said and smiled sad. „Everything will be going to the good way." She said and knocks on her wine glass to caught the attention of everybody.

„Okay, everybody, let's gather around. Jay, come here. Tonight we dine on the traditional Colombian recipes of my abuela, my grandmother. And even though she's no longer with me, I am very happy because I have all of you." She smiled.

She spoke Spanish and we all tried to speak it either but it was too hard. „It's beautiful, Gloria, just like my Mitchell." Cam tried to kiss Mitch on the cheek but suddenly he stands up and Cam fall on to the sofa and on the ground.

„Just slipped right off there." Said Mitch embarrassed. „Can I talk to you for a second?" Asked me Mark. „Yes, of course." I said and we went out for privacy. „What is it?". I asked him again.

„I talked with Jake and told him it's not okay to skip school." he said. „And I'm sorry for not telling you." he came to me and kissed me. Suddenly the backdoor opened and Dad says. „April come here I had to kiss you."

I was happy because it was for ages as Dad kissed me and then we ate Chunchullo.

We ate all happy and then Aiden said suddenly something. „Ma-ma". We all looked at him shocked. „What?" I asked him. „Ma-ma" he replied and we all cheered because this was his first words and our whole family is together.

Mark was really happy and hugged Aiden and me.

Time Skip

The next day I was looking TV then Jake came in. „Mom I have a B in chemistry!" he yelled happy and hugged me. „Wow, I'm proud of you. You know what your house arrest is lifted." I smiled at him. „Really, thank you Mom I love you." he smiled again and hugged me again too. „I love you too baby." I smiled back.
