S.3.10 The bells never ring faster

We were at Gloria's and Dad's house to relax. „Ay, finally! Look who's wearing her itsy-bitsy bikini." Says Gloria. Then Mitch came and said that Mom doesn't come to Christmas.

Claire was pissed but I was a little bit too. „Jake can you please cream yourself." I yelled to him, he was in the pool. „Okay, Mom". He said and came to me.

Time Skip

„So we're really doin' this, huh?" Said Dad and hold Stella in his arms. „Yes, Dad. Let's go." Meant Mitch. „'Cause I had stuff lined up for Christmas Eve." replied Dad.

„Yeah, Jay, it's Manny's last chance to enjoy a family Christmas." replied Gloria. „Until next year, you mean." Said Manny confused. „Well, with all the snatchings..." meant Luke.

„Get out of my head, Luke." „Okay, who's gonna get the tree?" Asked Phil. „Oh, oh, I will, I will because you know, get the wrong kind, people get upset." Volunteers Mitch.

„You get upset." I said to him and smiled. „I'm people." he replied. „Fine. I'll get the turkey Mark you wanna come with me? What about gifts?" Asked Phil again.

„Yeah, I'm coming with you." Said Mark. „Jay, did we finish shopping?" Asked him Gloria. „Yeah, but we're not wrapped." he replied. „Oh, I can help with that. We have a mobile wrapping station. God, has that thing paid for itself." Said Cam and laughed.

„Really? 'Cause I feel like I paid for it". Meant Mitch. „Okay, We've got lights and ornaments at our place." Said Phil. „Oh, you know what'd be great is the angel." Smiled Mitch. „Yeah, where is it?" I asked excitedly.

„Gloria, it's up in your attic. Would you get it?" Said Mitch. „Ay, no, not the attic! It's dirty, and there are spiders." shouted Gloria.

„Oh, but it really won't be Christmas without it." Said Mitchel sad. „It won't be Christmas with it. It's December 16." replied our Dad sarcastically.

„Luke and Jake will help Gloria. They not scared." Said again Phil. „Oh, good. You won't find me in any attic." Meant Manny. „That might be exactly where they find you." whispers Jake so no one can hear it.

„Mom!" yelled Manny scared. „Uh, I have a party tonight. You promised I could go if I got a "B" on my test. I studied. I read stuff. What was the point of all that?." Asked Haley annoyed.

„The point, young lady, was..." Said Claire but was interrupted by Phil. „Who can remember? Express Christmas will be done by 9:00. Claire, I'll text you the gift list. You and Haley do the shopping. Manny, you're coming with me and Mark. We're gonna get groceries. And last but not least April you going with Mitch buy the tree dinner, our house, 6:00. Let's move! On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen!" Yelled Phil excited at the end.

„So, come on we buy a tree with Lilly and Aiden." I smiled at Mitch then suddenly Alex came to us. „My mom tells me it's "Xmas" in a text?" Said Alex confused. „Yeah, well, my mom canceled in a voice mail... and told me she had a boyfriend in a newsletter, so join the team." Said Mitch emotionally.

„Put some clothes on. We're gettin' a tree." I said excitedly and suddenly Lilly pushed Mitch away and run behind her back.

Time Skip

„What about this one?" Asked Alex. We were finally at the tree market. „Let's see. No, no. I'm sorry. I know I'm being really O.C.D. right now, but there's something very particular that I'm looking for. It needs to be a Douglas fir at least eight feet tall and look good from all sides." Said Mitch and looked around for the perfect tree.

„Exactly. No bald spots." agreed Alex with him. „I thought this would be fun." I said annoyed. „I thought that too." Said Aiden also bored. And now they are singing. „We are in the wrong movie." Said again Aiden and we followed the two.

Mitch made a bet with the guy who helped us because they had a agreement. Mitch said he tie the tree by himself on the car.

Time Skip

„Th-thank Merry Christmas" Said Mitch embarrassed because the guy helped us because Mitch couldn't tie the tree on the car himself. „He hates us." Said Alex. „Don't beat yourself up. I do that, like, once a week." replied Mitch.

„I do that now." I said in the background with Aiden and Lilly beside me. „The good news is, we never have to come back here." Ignored Mitch me and drove off.

Suddenly a car came and I yelled „Watch out!" Mitch stopped quickly but the tree fell on the windshield and on the street. „The tree!" Shouted Aiden. „I can't watch." Said Mitch.

Suddenly a car drove on the tree and than a truck. „Perfect." I sight and looked annoyed.

Time Skip

Mitch was angry and shouted at Claire and said it's no Christmas because the angels head was off. Then Gloria said that Mitch and Claire miss Mom. She didn't count me in because I have a different mother and everyone knows that but still Claire and Mitch treat me like they biologic sister.

Then Dad said. „Can I put in my two cents on fake Christmas?" „Express Christmas." Interrupted Phil him. „Let it go, Phil. It's not sticking." replied Dad. „It needs time." Said Phil again and suddenly he twitched.

„We all gave it our best shot to make this thing work. It just didn't happen, all right? What do you say we cut our losses? Let's go out to a nice Chinese restaurant and have a traditional Jewish Christmas." Said Dad and smiled.

„But I risked my life grocery shopping." replied Manny. „Save that story for Wang Fu. Now let's go. Come on, everybody, On me!" shouted Dad at the end.

We want all go out but suddenly it faked snowing and we all knew that it was Dad's idea. We were all happy and make a snowball fight.

I hugged Mark happy and kissed him. „How was your day?" I asked him and smiled. He told me about Phil who was shocked by a man and I told him about the tree and we laughed.

This is perfect how it is.
