Cheers and celebrations rang out as it was announced that the war was over.

With the end of the war, life could continue and begin to heal, although for one knight this was her end. She slumped down on the stone wall of the fortress she was posted at; it had been a few days since the last attack and a few hours since most of the fights had concluded.

She winced in pain as she settled on the ground. "Well... At least it's over now."

She had completely exhausted herself and her wounds that she had neglected had gotten infected. Knowing that her time would soon come, she simply slumped down, taking off her helmet and setting it aside so she could get a better look at the view as the sun was setting.

"He told me I'd end up doing this to myself if I wasn't careful... Hehe, I hope he won't be too mad at me." She felt herself getting weaker and weaker. Giving a sad smile she slowly closes her eyes, her head falling limp...

This was a fate that had fallen upon many people, both soldiers and citizens alike. It was common, sights like this happening throughout this battlefield.

A red magic communication circle appears next to the now-dead knight. "Alana..?" A male voice calls out. "Is everything alright? Your usual communication channel when down... I-Is... Are you okay?" They were worried, desperation could be heard in his tone.

A few moments passed in silence before the magic circle vanished. Moments later, the same red magic circle appeared again, this time much larger and with different symbols. "Alana?" The same voice rang out, this time as an entity started manifesting from the circle.

Soon, they fully manifested the magic circle disappearing, leaving a tall, handsome man with red hair and what looked like 'royal' armour.

He's in a panic as they look around in search of this person they call Alana. His eyes start to well up as they lay upon the Knight's dead body. "Alana!!"

Rushing over and kneeling at the Knight's side, he takes one of her hands into his. "T-This can't be real... Please..." He shakes the corpse, trying to awaken life in her that may remain.

"Alana... I'll do it... I-I'll build The Underworld you dreamed of. One free of corruption, poverty... Free of war. Y-You may rest, my love." The sunset was nearly over. He stood up, wiping tears from his eyes.

He took a few steps back before summoning another magic circle, this time saying different incantations, making crimson sparks fly out of the magic circle. A barrier forms around the ruin.

"No one will disturb your slumber... Farewell, Alana" The man walked out of the barrier before vanishing into a magic circle. It was peaceful, nothing but the sound of wind and birds as the sun fully set.

Many days and nights had come and gone; some when it rained, some when it was thundering, but many had passed. Once a fortress meant for a battle is now just a crumbling ruin, nature reclaiming its land as moss and vines infested its walls. At the core of it all, though, still lay a Knight's armour, rusted through and beyond repair.

The barrier fell long ago, the reason unknown. It wasn't needed anyway; no one had visited since the barrier was first put up, and not many knew about this place anyway.

She liked it though, the peace. She had fought for it for so long, leaving her to rest in it seemed fitting.

"You didn't get to fulfil your destiny, you were taken from them too soon. Would you like to continue your rest, or... Would you like a chance to change the mistakes they've made in this 'New World'?" A voice asked the Knight's spirit, curious if she would leave her peace for 'chaos'.

There was no answer.

"Hmm? Heh, perhaps you've forgotten how to speak; it has been quite a while..." The voice adds, almost mocking the spirit.

"Ughhhh, boring little thing, aren't you? Spirits usually jump at this offer, being bored of sitting around doing nothing but being... Dead. If only you knew the state of The Underworld right now. He promised he'd fix it, but... He's the problem now hehe." They were trying to get under the Spirit's skin, anger it, and make a deal.

The air around the ruin grew thicker, the wind picking up as clouds gathered overhead.

"Oh, is that supposed to scare me? Sweetie, you-" The voice stops suddenly feeling a dark aura coming from the Knight's armour.

"W-what... Hehe, you're just a spirit. I'm trying to give you life, stop being so ungrate-!!" The voice was dead; there wasn't even a physical manifestation of this voice, and yet, it had been killed.

The aura around the armour thickens and gets lighter, the darkness dissipating as light springs out in the ruin.

A feminine body lay in the mossy grass of the ruin, the ancient armour vanishing in its place. The clouds vanish, the wind dies down, and the air resumes to normal levels. The Unclothed woman sits up, taking in her surroundings.

*Sighs* "I guess... I guess taking a look wouldn't hurt."
