"hi mama!"
12 year old alice smiled as she looked up into the glistering sky filled with many bright stars.

"i saw the boy today," she giggled, biting her fingernails. "he is so cute and amazing!"

"today, he said he liked my hair... and my pink hoodie!"

alice spun around as she talked to her mother. it became a habit she grew into.

"if you were here, what would you tell me to do?"

alice thought to herself. "maybe i should tell him that i like him... right mama?"

she giggled at the thought of her confessing to her crush. "i wish dad could tell me what to do, but he is too busy missing you. all he does is work now..."

alice sighed as she leaned against the railing on her balcony.

"i miss you, mama," she frowns, feeling tears starting to form in her eyes. she shook her head to stop herself from crying. "you wouldn't want me to cry," she tells the stars.

she fakes a smile.

"i will be happy," she said happily, despite her voice cracking. "i want to make you happy, mama."

she hummed as she thought of a way to make her mother happy. she knew her mother was watching her and looking down at her from the stars. her eyes lit up as she thought of an idea.

"i will tell heeseung i have a crush on him!"

sealed deal

eunhee laughs, despite her tears running down her cheeks, leaving mascara stains all over her blazer. "make sunghoon like me? what is this?"

alice gives her a serious look. "i want to show you that i am sorry, eunhee."

"you are 5 years late."

"i know, but let me do this! i know nothing will ever make up for what i did... just let me try."

eunhee stares at alice. alice noticed that her tears stopped falling down from her eyes, showing that she had stopped crying.

"would you... would you really try?"

alice nods. "yes."

"for me?"

"of course."

eunhee looks at alice in disbelief. alice only hopes that this can solve the tension the two had since that incident.

she scoffed, "i hope you know it might take more than this for me to forgive you."

alice sighs. "i know. i'll keep spending as much time trying to earn your forgiveness."

eunhee smiled.
"i guess it's a deal then."

"ally are you crazy?!" chaewon practically choked on her food.

alice sighed once again. she had explained the whole situation between eunhee, sunghoon, and herself to her friends after it all happened. "i just want things to be normal between us. you can feel the tension whenever we're in a 5 metre radius of each other..." alice explained.
