sunghoon stayed behind eunhee as she paid for her new dress. he stood there awkwardly, not understanding why his dear friends left him with her.he looked behind him, trying to spot his friends. he spotted jake quite quickly, who was looking in the mirror with multiple dresses in his hands. he chuckled at the sight, he never expected to see jake holding dresses for someone.
then, alice came out of the fitting rooms, wearing a black a-line dress. this dress had a red tag on it, meaning it was for clearance. her hair was messy and tangled, and her face was filled with exhaustion. alice and jake looked at each other and started laughing. sunghoon found himself giggling too.
alice looked ridiculous.
sunghoon could not hear what they were saying. all he could see was the wide smiles they both had on their faces. he watched as they both tried to fix alice's hair- and failing at it.
he smiled. it was such a pure moment. he only wished to have a moment like that.
"sunghoon?" eunhee calls out. sunghoon shifts his attention to the short girl. "i'm done paying. do you... do you maybe want to get something to eat?"
sunghoon took one more glance at alice and jake. they were both looking in the giant mirror, making silly poses and faces. he looks slightly down, not understanding what he was starting to feel.
"yeah, sure," he replied.
eunhee looks at him with a smile. he smiles back.

chapter 7
eunhee this, eunhee that-
alice laughed, "i don't know how to dance like this."
jake smiled cheekily and grabbed her arm, dragging alice to the dance floor. alice found herself trying to pull his arm away with her other hand. she failed, so she gave up and let him move them both.
they reach the dance floor. jake puts alice's arms over his shoulders, wrapping her hands around his neck. she chuckled annoyingly, "are you teaching me?" jake put his hands on her waist and smiled playfully, "kind of! life skills, cutie!"
alice giggled, letting jake sway them side to side. alice didn't really understand, though she trusted that jake wouldn't do anything silly in this moment. alice did not want to embarrass herself.
she peaked over jake's shoulder, looking at eunhee and sunghoon. they were still dancing, which could be a good sign- if it weren't for the serious looks on their face. alice sighed, what could be going wrong now? she swore she saw them smiling at each other, as if they were the only ones in the room.
"what's wrong?" jake asked. alice eyed the two, which caused him to look back to take a look. jake also sighed, "they were doing so good!"
"what do you think happened this time?" alice asked. "did they step on each other's toes?"
suddenly, the music changed to something more upbeat. everyone stopped slow dancing. this change caused more people to clutter on the dance floor, making it almost impossible to take another step.
alice's view of sunghoon and eunhee was quickly getting blocked. she saw them let go of each other immediately and continue their serious conversation. alice bit her lip, this wouldn't be a good area for them to talk.
