Jongin stared at me for a few minutes, in confused shock that I left the room on my own, I assumed. He was wearing beige sweat-pants and a black T shirt, showing off his dark muscular arms. His hair was styled subtly to the side, James Dean esq. He blinked a few times before snapping back to reality, I cursed my brain for not reacting as swiftly. He scratched the back of his head shyly, he almost looked as if he was blushing.
"Sorry for startling you." I bowed in apology. "I was just exploring so I don't get lost in the future." I felt his eyes on me as I stared at the hardwood. He chuckled lowly, sleep still heavy in his voice.
"I don't usually startle so easily. But it was nice to see you first thing in the morning." He smirked as I felt my face turn crimson. "Good morning Minji" His deep caramel voice felt as if it was putting me under a spell.
"Good morning Jongin." I mumbled, peeking up at him in embarrassment. Suddenly a loud grumble erupted between us, tired of being ignored, my stomach began screaming at me. I closed my eyes and put my hands in my face as Jongin laughed, I wanted the floor to swallow me up. His arm hooked around my shoulders smoothly as he pulled me down the hall.
"Sounds like you're starving to death, and that's not gonna happen on my watch." He said jokingly, pulling me into him gently, then paused. "So I see you got the care package I sent." I nodded quickly, admiring the dress I wore.
"Thank you" I said quietly, glancing up at him, as we stopped in front of the stairs. He froze momentarily, as if in a daze, then the door behind us swung open. Jongin groaned as a familiar fluff of Red popped out from behind the door, wide grin plastered on his face as he observed us.
"Well, well, well, Jongin. It didn't take you very long to get cozy, huh?" Chanyeol jabbed, gesturing to his arm. The white haired boy, Baekhyun, skipped toward us, as if the teasing was attracting him. Jongin calmly led me down the staircase, the two following like flies.
"Don't be jealous, hyung. Bitterness in unattractive." Jongin shot back, monotone. Baekhyun chuckled as he approached my free side, wrapping his arm around my waist slyly, eyeing Jongin the entire time.
Jongin pulled me away, batting Baekhyun's intrusive hands away. Baekhyun giggled, joining Chanyeol in the teasing, as Jongin hurried me into the dinning hall. With the hyenas on our heels, Jongin pulled out a chair for me to sit in, which I accepted, amused by the situation. I watched idly as he began dragging the duo, through heavy double doors, into the next room.
I kicked my feet under the table as my stomach rumbled in protest. The dining hall was a long, oval shaped room, the white walls adorned with massive windows. Large, thick, cream colored drapes bordered the windows, gold rope tying them aside. There were shallow side tables under each window, decorated with various plants and nicknacks.
In the center of the room was the long Ebony table, white place mats and gold silverware was neatly placed along the edge. A grand chandelier hung above the entire room, lit candles twinkled through the crystal. I noticed a handful of family portraits hung around the room, but before my curiosity overtook, the doors swung open once again.
4 of the boys entered, dragging large food carts into the room, and began setting the table, dishing out food and beverages. Jongin and the others filed in, taking their respective seats, Jongin next to me of course. Everyone seemed very friendly and upbeat this morning, including Baekhyun. All morning he went on and on, excitedly, about going shopping today. So much so that it began to annoy some of the others.
After breakfast I made my way out of the Dining hall, Baekhyun and Jonin behind me. We stopped at the bottom of the stairs, Baekhyun still boasting about the mall.
