Taking the lead singer to lunch

We finish practicing and she is visiting with Dallon. She jokes with them and I smile knowing she isn't thinking of her grandma right now. She's going to be alright with me.

"Brendon" Spencer calls me over to him. I look away from Kat and walk over to him.

"Yeah Spence?" I ask. He looks at her then at me and smiles.

"You're in love with her"

"We just started dating Spencer" I say knowing he was correct.

"Bren I see the way you look at her, it was the same way you looked at Sarah"

The hurt from memories with Sarah hit me hard. I had asked her to marry me and she had said no and wanted nothing to do with me. She had broken my heart.

"Spencer, you're right ok. I am in love with her. I fell in love with her the day I heard her singing and when she treated me for who I am" I say

He smiles pulls me into a hug. "She's perfect for you Brendon."

I hear her phone going off with the Miss Jackson ringtone. Everyone turns and looks at her and she reddens and Dallon laughs and she answers it. A few minutes later she hangs up and looks at me.

"Sorry boys but I'm going to have to take the lead singer to lunch" She says

"Darn. I was starting to warm up to you. Kat you're pretty chill" Kenneth says. They all say their good byes. She pulls me out to the car. We slide into the car and I start it. I look at her and she turns and looks at me and smiles.

"Thanks Brendon. For bringing me" She says.
