We come around the corner I see a young boy coming down the hall. I grab Colton's arm, not sure how to react.
The boy looks over at us and a smile creeps on his lips but it's like he's scared to let the smile show all the way through, like it's forbidden.
"Hey Frankie come here!" Colton waves his arm telling him to come to us. We've stopped now, and Frankie is coming up to us and I'm frozen.
Why is there a young child in this forsaken place? Did they kidnap him too?
It's odd, he looks young but not innocent.
"Yeah Colton?" He looks over at him for a second then his eyes wonder over to me, he's smirking.
"I wanted you to meet Alice." He sounds peachy like I'm his friend. I'm not his friend, I'm here against my will. Another thing, why in the hell does he want little Frankie to meet me?
"Hi, it's nice to meet you- Alice!" He has an admiring look plastered on his young untouched face. I left my right hand to give a gentle friendly wave to the young boy.
"Hello Frankie." I smile trying to seem like a nice older person, I don't want to scare him. Then a shock comes out of this boys mouth.
"She's a pretty one, if only I was older!" Yeah, this is coming from young Frankie. I keep saying young but he could be older then I think. I go ahead and ask.
"Uh- Frankie. How old are you? If I may ask."
"Trust me you can ask me anything you want. And I'm fourteen." He speaks with a glow in his eyes and a smirk on his lips.
"Oh- okay I was close." I definitely lied I thought he was like ten. Frankie is standing there looking me up and down.
"How old are you Alice?" The way he said my name is not the way a fourteen year old boy should be speaking. His voice was seductive and grim.
I look over at Colton in confusion and surprise. "I'm eighteen." I smile politely. His lips twist into a haunting smile. I can only imagine what these guys have programmed into this young boys head. The things they've told him about women, they probably let him watch.
"That's a nice- age. Colton please tell me she's wearing this because you lost her clothes when you ripped them off and started screwing her brains out!"
I was right they did fuck up his mind. How is such a young innocent looking thing saying such vulgar things?
"Frankie!" Colton shouts. "What? Oh did you let Tommy get a hold of her?" Wow this kid is an asshole.
"You can go now Frankie!" Colton pulls me closer to him. "Awe but I wanna get to know Alice a little more. Maybe we can talk about her favorite movie, ice cream flavor or where her hot spot is!"
The shit this kid is saying. "Go!" Colton yells. "Fine, see you later Alice it was nice meeting you." He smiles along with a wink. He walks past still staring at my body.
"Don't pay attention to him he's only acting like that because he'll be fifteen in a couple of days."
"Why is he here?" My biggest question.
"Uh- that I can't really tell you at least not right now." What does he mean by that?
"Well why are we over here and not going to my room?"
"This is just a different way to your room. Me and Taretto thought you would like to visit this side of the estate." He holds his hand out like he's revealing something.
"This side of the estate?" I emphasized the 'this'. His head is down looking at the floor. "This is the west part of the estate. We call it Wild West, it's our little inside joke." He scratches the back of his head.
"Well you all have a sick sense of humor." He has the 'ouch' face on. He knows that I'm right.
"Yeah well we're all pretty sick of you haven't noticed." No shit Sherlock!
"So what do you want me to see in the Wild West?" I use air quotes as I pronounce the 'Wild West'.
"It's right around here." He points to the right of us to the corner. As we turn I poke my neck out trying to see what lies behind this corner.
We get around it and there's a big open spaces fill with young boys some looking older then others. All of there heads turn our direction. I feel like a piece of bate covered in blood that was just tossed into shark infested waters. And the sharks are starving and ready to fight for the only food in sight, might I add.
"What is this?" I ask Colton. He puts his arms around my shoulders. "This is where the boys stay." He makes them sound like there into five years old.
"Ages from ten to nineteen." I look around the large room with all the boys. You can clearly see the age difference between all of them, and they all look different.
There are some just lounging around talking, those are the older looking ones. As the younger ones are fooling around wrestling and fighting. Then I notice one in particular sitting alone off to the side, he seems to have a book in his hand. He looks over the book catching a glimpse at me but once he notices I see him he covers his face with the book.
"Why the big age difference?" I ask as I watch them watch me. The older looking ones are peering at me the most. Their eyes are smiling at me.
"Well they stay in the west until they are the appropriate age. Once they turn twenty they can move out of the Wild West."
"Why twenty?" I ask. "That's the age the rest of us know they can handle being a man when they can function on their own."
I still don't understand why they are keeping them here and if they were kidnapped or not.
"Did you take them?" I look up at him. "No." That's all he replies with. "Well come on you can meet them all later lets get you back to your room." Meet them all later, I'm not sure if I want to.
