Taelyn walked up the familiar path to her school, her mind lost in the usual morning haze. As she approached the front gates, her eyes landed on a figure leaning casually against the wall. It was Marcus. She blinked, wondering if she was seeing things.
"Marcus?" she called out, her voice tinged with confusion. "What are you doing here?"
Marcus turned to her with a playful smile. "Surprise! I'm going to school here now."
Taelyn's eyes widened, and a rush of excitement surged through her. Without thinking, she threw her arms around him, laughing as she pulled him into a kiss. It was brief but filled with joy, the kind that made her heart race. She pulled back, still grinning.
"This is the best news ever," she said, barely able to contain her excitement. "I can't believe you're actually here!"
