-Author's pov :

The next morning came and Devaansh was all ready to prepare an appetizing breakfast. He whisked the eggs in a bowl making omelet and then preparing the dough for paratha

Halfway through his task he heard the door of her room opening and she was walking in the house with calculative steps, still in last night's clothes.

Her steps halted when he appeared in front of her "you're up?" she nodded hesitantly and moved a step back.

Devaansh quickly stepped back aswell sensing her discomfort "I was preparing breakfast, you can go change" he softly smiled at her. "Saanvi has put all your clothes in the cupboard. Wear anything"

"W..woh sab meray hein?" She felt scared under his constant gaze and asked timidly, looking everywhere but him.

(All that for me?)

"ap humsay dar rai hein ?" he directly asked, not answering her question. His face fell.

"Nahi-nahi mei-n ... wo" her sudden stutter made her condition more clear.

(Are you scared of me ?)
(N-no I .. that )

"Mat dariye please..I promise I won't ever come near you without your permission " he whispered, moving back few more steps to make her comfortable (don't be scared)

"I'll bring your breakfast in the room if you want?" He asked and not waiting for the answer he moved inside the kitchen, a little overwhelmed.

The girl about whom he was thinking all night was so scared of him that he hated his aura - the perfect cold aura - he had created in these past years.

Only if he was a little more gentle, sweet and could muster up some soft words then she'll be feeling better in his presence but then again it's not even a day and he can't expect her to be openly comfortable with him.

Footsteps were heard again and he turned around to look at her walking in the kitchen, taking a seat on a stool , resting her hands on the adjacent table and looking at him as if a toddler opened his eyes for the first time.

Her eyes squinted a little to the brightness of the room. The lights in the room were suffocating her. Caged in a room for 5 years having no source of light, she became used to of that environment.

The environment - where she was tied by a chain for the first two years then by the ropes and as if , after slowly gaining the trust -the trust of her kidnapper whom she had never seen - she was left without any rope but still locked in a room.

"ap anjaan hein na isi liye bs ghabra gai thi" she softly explained herself.
Devaansh smiled , lifting up his swollen face and understanding her point.

(You are a stranger so that's why I panicked)

"It's okay" He said and then decided not to say anything further or ask too many questions and let her feel at ease .

He can do that later, now that she is not resisting about living here.

" I have made paratha with an omelet. Are you okay with it?" she nodded ,looking at him setting everything in a tray.

"Come I'll take everything in your room" his smile not leaving his face. He felt like a teenager, feeling giddy in her presence.

Her moving her hairs back or playing with the sleeves of her kurti, attracted him beyond imagination.
