Chapter 3

I wake up a few hours later and hear a voice ask "Did you sleep well? How did the mission go?" It's Yami who is smoking as always. Then I realize that I'm literally lying on top of him, I blush and start to get up, but there's his arm stopping me.

"Where are you going, you don't have me answered yet" he says in a gruff tone. I clear my throat to dispel the embarrassment, "everything went well even if I lost a magician... I should have paid more attention" my mind goes back to the events of the previous night. I feel him looking at me but I don't turn. "What time is it?" I ask, he puffs out some smoke, "if you're asking me how long you've been sleeping, about 3 hours, I think, but I don't know exactly what time it is because I haven't been able to get up", he says alluding to the fact that I'm lying on top of him.

I consciously know that he would have no problem picking me up and moving me, but at that moment I'm too embarrassed to think clearly, "I apologize, Commander!" I start to get up again with my face red with embarrassment, but he still hasn't moved the arm that's holding me.

So that, even if I try, I can't escape, "mmh... anyway it's not your fault for that magician and what is all this formality -Commander- since when do you call me that?" He asks, throwing me a jack on the forehead. I scratch the back of my neck, "hehehe... I thought that in a situation like this it would be more appropriate to use commander instead of Yami".

He gives me another jack a little harder "ouch!" I say massaging my forehead, "you know how much I care about what's appropriate and what's not" he says and moves closer.

Now he's dangerously close, all the alarms are starting to go off, although there's a part of me that wouldn't be so sorry if this escalated. I hold my breath as he comes closer, but then there is a loud explosion and a pattering sound like rain, I turn around breaking eye contact.

He removes his arm to take a drag on his cigarette and I take the opportunity to get up, he grumbles something incomprehensible, but follows me outside.

"Yami... you see too, I'm not crazy, right?" I ask, there's a giant water bubble outside that's destroying everything, we're all gathered outside staring at the giant bubble. "You're not crazy" he says as if it were even absurd to assume such a thing, I ignore him.

"Wait but that's Noelle, what is she doing here?" I say incredulously, "Do you know her?" asks me Finral. "Yes I met her once when together with Noz I had to go back to the Silva residence after a mission, she was so cute, but her brothers treat her like crap, me and Noz had a big fight about this, but then we made things clear".

In fact Noz is more than anything else afraid that Noelle will get hurt and since he doesn't know how to control magic he considers her useless, he is always very cynical about these things unfortunately. "With Noz, Who are you referring to?" Magna asks me.

"She's referring to Nozel Silva, the commander of the Silver Eagle. He adores her, literally, you should see how he gravitates towards her when they are together, my big sister is such a heartthrob" Vanessa says putting her arm around my shoulders. I blush "I-I'm not, it's not like that, we just have a deep respect for each other". I have to admit that I wouldn't mind going out with Noz, but I still don't think I'm noble enough for him.

Then I see Asta crash in front of us, "Asta-chan are you okay?" But he doesn't have time to say anything to me because Yami throws him straight towards the giant bubble of water, saying something about 'overcoming your limits here and now '.

I watch as Asta destroys the water bubble and Noelle lands in the center while the water bubble falls apart and falls in the form of a fine drizzle. I close my eyes and smile at the sky. At that moment I hear Asta making a speech to Noelle who apparently had refused the cape of the Black Bull. When Asta finishes I say "Oi Noelle, show Solid and Nebra that you are strong and make sure they take back what they said, and stop worrying your brother, so we can be friends". I say looking at her seriously, she nods and with a very determined look says "I will", I smile at her "Good! Now I'm going to sleep, have a good life!" I say heading towards my room.

On my desk there is a mountain of letters, so I start answering them all and then finally I lie down on the bed and after less than 30 seconds I am already fast asleep.
