Chapter 7

I don't know how long it's been, but I start hearing voices around me, "She's used up almost all of her mana... but she'll recover... are you sure... put..." a grunt, my heart rate increases.

"You shouldn't have taken care of her?" another voice "Yes you should have stopped her" a cough, I move a finger. "You should have seen her, she was almost out of control, it would have been practically impossible to stop her without the help of violence", "Yes exactly, next time I'll call you so you can come and stop her".

A fist slams on the table "You are the... but... wha..." damn I still can't hear well, "Gentlemen I think she's about to...", but he doesn't have time to finish the sentence. A sublime smell reaches my nostrils, chocolate! I jump up and sit down, then I look around and rub my eyes.

Everything is still a bit blurry, but once the dizziness passes I see that I am in a hospital room surrounded by 3 commanders all with more or less worried and guilty looks and the wizard king who holds the only thing for which I woke up, a chocolate cake.

I start to move towards it, but there's something stopping me, there is one huge jellyfish attached to my shoulder, I look at it with contempt "don't come between me and the chocolate, ever!" I say and then I incinerate the jellyfish and I turn back to the chocolate cake, stealing it from a stunned Julius.

Only when I've finished eating and I've elegantly cleaned my mouth, do I give them the slightest attention. "Well what are you all doing here? Don't you have more important things to do than keep up with me? Oh by the way, thanks for the cake". I tilt my head, Yami chuckles and says "Luckily you're okay", "Yeah" this time it was William who spoke.

I'm even more confused, why are they so worried? I get closer to Noz who seems to be the most dejected of all. I put my hand on his forehead "Are you okay? Do you have a fever?" I ask again, Noz looks at me there is enormous relief in his eyes "We thought you wouldn't wake up" he says in a heartbroken voice.

I laugh and caress his cheek before moving away and saying "It will take more than this for you to be able to get rid of me!". I honestly can't understand why they're all there and it makes me a little nervous so I decide to focus on the doctor, "Thank you for fixing me up, I owe you a favor, also can you tell these slackers back here not to worry and that they should go back to doing their job instead of wasting time here with me", the doctor smiles at me "It wasn't a problem miss" he says.

Before I can do anything I feel something surrounding me and crushing me, that something is Julius "Don't ever do something like that again you've made a lot of people worried" he says, I giggle "yeah right", he crushes me even more "I'm serious" he says very close to my ear so that only I can hear. I shiver slightly, but then someone takes Julius off me, it's Yami "Let her breathe, old man".

I giggle again, but then I'm hit by a coughing fit. I feel William come closer to me and help me hold me up "You should rest a bit, you're still weak" Noz says. I nod and let Will accompany me back to sit on the bed.

They stay there for a while longer and it's a lot of fun to listen to them talk, I have a lot of fun with them and I wish it would last forever, but then they leave and despite this a lot of people come to visit me to thank me or to see how am I, I'm surprised. A day passes and I recover all my strength and then I set off to return to the Black Bulls base with the others.

I say goodbye to everyone and I also receive some threats from Julius, William and Noz, who absolutely don't want me to end up in hospital again for a stupid spell, according to them.

I'm still a little worried about Fuegoleon, but Leopold told me he'll keep me updated so I'll go home peacefully. I spend about 5 days trying to convince all the Black Bull members that I'm fine, my sister is the most worried, she practically doesn't let me do anything and Finral hadn't let me take more than 5 steps also when I asked Yami why he didn't mind me using his 'transport' he replied with a grunt.

Even the others had become overprotective, bringing me food and drink and forcing me to take medicine, even Gauche, although I suspected he had been forced by Vanessa.

Despite all the complaints I managed to convince them that I was fine and that there was no need for them to behave like this, then I managed to get assigned a mission even though I had to call Julius in person and convince him that I was fine. I was assigned a support mission to the captain of the Green Mantis.

Jack and I get along quite well even if he irritates me from time to time, but I think more than anything he enjoys annoying me. When I told Yami about the mission he didn't seem happy at all, in the end I managed to convince him, I don't know how I did it, I just did it, it was hard, very hard.
