The sun was bright as Zhang Hao led Y/N through the streets, hand in hand. It felt surreal to her — visiting him in his world, away from the busyness of their separate lives. She had come to see Zhang Hao and finally meet the other members of Zerobaseone face to face. Her nerves were bubbling, but excitement overpowered any hesitation.
"Are you nervous?" Zhang Hao asked with a chuckle, noticing how tightly she was gripping his hand.
"A little," Y/N admitted, smiling at him. "I've only heard stories about the guys and met them once."
Zhang Hao assured her, squeezing her hand. "They've been dying to meet you again, and trust me, they're more nervous than you are."
They arrived at the dorm where the other members were waiting. Zhang Hao led her up the stairs, and as they reached the door, they could hear muffled chatter from inside.
Zhang Hao gave her a reassuring smile and opened the door. The noise stopped instantly, and all eyes turned toward them.
Y/N was met with the curious stares of the entire group—Hanbin, Jiwoong, Matthew, Taerae, Gyuvin, Ricky, Gunwook, and Yujin. For a moment, there was silence, and then Hanbin, the leader, stepped forward with a wide grin.
"Y/N!" Hanbin greeted warmly. "We've heard so much about you. It's great to meet you again."
Y/N blushed, laughing nervously. "It's great to meet all of you too. Zhang Hao talks about you guys all the time."
The rest of the members quickly gathered around, welcoming her with enthusiastic greetings. Matthew and Taerae were especially friendly, chatting with her about music and getting to know her better. Gyuvin and Gunwook cracked jokes, trying to make her feel at ease, while Jiwoong and Ricky quietly observed, offering kind smiles.
At the dorm:
As the evening progressed, Y/N felt more relaxed. The boys were easy to get along with, and their playful banter made her feel like she was already part of their world. She was especially struck by how supportive they were of Zhang Hao.
During dinner, Hanbin leaned forward with a teasing smile. "So, Y/N, what's it like dating Zhang Hao? He's always the quiet, thoughtful one around us."
Y/N smiled, glancing at Zhang Hao. "He's just as thoughtful with me. Always caring, even with his busy schedule."
The members exchanged knowing looks, clearly proud of how their friend treated her. "That's our Hao hyung," Taerae said, patting Zhang Hao on the back. "Always making sure everyone's happy."
Zhang Hao laughed, a little embarrassed. "Come on, guys, don't make it weird."
"Too late," Gyuvin teased, causing everyone to laugh.
The night went on, filled with laughter, jokes, and stories. Y/N felt a warmth settle over her. The boys weren't just a group; they were a family, and Zhang Hao's love for them was evident in the way he interacted with each of them.
Later at her apartment:
After dinner, Y/N and Zhang Hao retreated to a quieter corner of the dorm, away from the noise of the group. They sat together, their hands intertwined, watching the others from a distance.
"I'm glad you're here," Zhang Hao said softly, resting his head on her shoulder. "I'm glad that you get along so well with the boys"
Y/N smiled, leaning into him. "They're great. I can see why you care about them so much. It's like one big family."
"They are," Zhang Hao agreed. "But you're a part of my world now too. I want you to know that."
Y/N's heart swelled at his words. She knew how much Zerobaseone meant to Zhang Hao, and hearing him say that she was part of his world made her feel truly connected to him.
They sat there in comfortable silence for a while, simply enjoying the moment. Y/N felt at home, not just with Zhang Hao, but with his friends as well. It was a feeling she hadn't expected, but one that she cherished deeply.
As the night came to a close, Y/N bid the members goodbye, each of them promising to meet again soon. Hanbin, as the leader, made sure to let her know she was always welcome.
"Come back anytime," he said with a warm smile. "You're part of the family now."
Y/N left with Zhang Hao, her heart full. The night had been more than she could have hoped for, and as they walked back to their place, she realized just how much her life had changed since meeting him.
Later at the hotel:
Back at their apartment, Zhang Hao and Y/N settled in, tired but content. Zhang Hao wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.
"Thank you for coming," Zhang Hao whispered against her hair.
"I wouldn't have missed it," Y/N replied, smiling as she rested her head on his chest.
As they drifted off to sleep, Y/N realized that their connection had only grown stronger. Meeting his friends had solidified something for her—Zhang Hao wasn't just her soulmate; he was her partner in every sense of the word, and she was ready for whatever the future held.
