Chapter 10:
Photo Shoot Fights
(Flash Back)
When we arrived at the photo shoot Dillon and Brent were already in wardrobe. It was amazing in here! All the cameras, lights, stage set ups. I was in Heaven.
"Hey Elley" Cameron shouts walking over to me. "I've got to head on over to makeup, you can wait with Jillian. She's the one in charge of the shoot."
He glances over to a girl, whom I assume is Jillian, and gives her a friendly wave, which she returns with a dazzling white smile.
"I thought you ladies could talk tech and stuff, maybe she could give you a few pointers or something. She is a genius with the camera."
"Y-Yeah that would be great!" I stuttered. "Thanks again for letting me come with you." I wrap my arms around his waist looking up at his sparkling hazel eyes. "I really appreciate it."
"Well of course my lady." He leans down, my face in his hands and places a gentle kiss on my lips.
"Dang. Didn't you two already get enough of that earlier?" Zach says, walking over to us.
I start to blush recalling the embarrassing walk ins we had on our previous make out secession. Cameron just laughs and dips me in his arms dramatically kissing me. Mikey and some of the crew start to whistle at us. Finally we come up for air, Cameron gasping for breath trying to add dramatic effect. I swat at his arms to release me, suddenly aware of all the eyes that were upon us.
"Okay, that's enough of that" The dark haired, Jillian says walking over clicking her heals against the tiled floor. "We've got a lot to get done today, and we can't be having any distractions."
I may have been imagining things, but I could swear she was staring at me during that last part.
Just as I'm thinking that, her gaze actually does turn to me. " I'm sorry hun, what did you say your name was again?"
Hun? Really? Do I look 13 years old to you? You cannot be but 4, 5 years older than me and you're calling me hun! Well I mean it's really hard to tell her age with all that make up she caked on.
Cam pulls his arm off my waist, "This is Elley- I mean Danielle. She is a film major too."
Okay um I was expecting "This is my girlfriend Danielle" but that's cool. Don't read too much into that Danielle.
Jillian just nods. "Yeah, you can come back here and wait while I get the boys ready." She eyes me up and down making me feel so self-conscious.I tug at the hem of my red flannel shirt as I admire her outfit. Her low cut violet blouse, showing of her chest and California tan with fitted black skinny jeans complimented by her white hemp strap backs. I take another look down at my barely sun kissed legs ripped up jean shorts and my beat up converse.
I shake it off and go to give Cam one last kiss on the cheek and say bye but he was already distracted with Jillian picking out his clothes. She looks over at me and then pulls the curtain shut separating me off from them.
Umm okay? Is she still back there with him? Is he changing in front of her? OH MY GOSH! What if she's seen him naked!?
I sink back into a couch sitting out, suddenly feeling myself get very insecure. In less than 5 minutes, I managed to think of all these awful things that could've gone down between them. Brent then walks up to me interrupting my train of tainting thoughts.
"Hey there Danielle," He slouches down on the couch next to me careful not to wrinkle his clothes.
"Hey Brent" I say halfheartedly.
"Why so blue girl? You and Prince Charming get into a fight?"
I slight grin plays the corners of my mouth. I disregard his question and ask my own. "What can you tell me about Jillian?"
"Well there's the obvious, she's smoking hot!" he laughs trying to lighten the situation. I roll my eyes and place my hands into my hands.
"Pig. I mean, what is she like?" Brent throws his arm on the back of the couch.
"She's nice, I guess" he shrugs. "She plays favorites with us which gets annoying because the rest of us always get yelled at while her puppy doesn't do anything wrong ever."
"Let me guess," I peer over to wear Jillian is helping my boyfriend get dressed. "Cameron is her puppy."
Brent presses his finger to the tip of his nose, "Bingo."
I slump even further into the couch letting my emotions get the best of me.
"Danielle."
I turn my head to face Brent.
"Look, you've got nothing to worry about. Cameron only has eyes for you."
"I mean I trust him 100%, but there is something about her that just, just bugs me." I let out a frustrated moan.
"Well if you want my advice-"
"I don't."
He ignores my statement and continues on "One thing Cam hates in a girl is jealousy. So you better not let it show."
"I'm not jealous Brent." I say defensively
He stands up. "Yeah you better work on your acting skills while you're at it, because it will only get worse."
I looked up at him confused by his blunt statement.
"Danielle, Cameron is a good looking, and too sweet for his own good, guy. Plus he is a famous musician. We're on break now, but when shows start back up, there's going to be thousands of Jillians. And you know firsthand that Cam hates to disappoint fans"
And with that he leaves me to wonder in my thoughts.
*****
I sit back and try to push Jillian from my mind.
Yeah, that doesn't go very well.
Throughout the whole photo shoot she's got her hands all over Cameron. Readjusting his shirt, jacket, even pants.
Like seriously lady! He is 23 freaking years old he can do that himself.
I just roll my eyes and get on Tumblr, trying to distract myself, this last for a minute, until I hear Cam's laugh echo through the room. My head jerks up to see Cam sitting on a stool while Jillian is leaned over in front of him, touching his lips.
That's it! That is seriously crossing a line.
"Um, excuse me." I try to keep my voice from cracking. Everyone looks over at me, Jillian with a tight little smirk on her full red lips.
"Yes, honey? Is there something you needed? It must be important for you to interrupt my shoot?"
My eyes dart over to Cam, as I feel my eyes start to sting. I have no idea what has gotten into me but I couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed my bag and stormed out of the building.
