They actually took it pretty well. Ariel was ecstatic, Vic wasn’t that shocked either. He said I was exactly Cameron’s type and he was actually going to set me up with him tonight. Lacy on the other hand was just shocked I hadn’t told her.

“You are so lucky, I’m so happy for you! I should be mad, but I guess I understand why you didn’t tell me.” She un crosses her arms and runs over to give me a big hug.

I seriously have such an amazing best friend.

She pulls me to arms length staring at me. “Now, what on earth are you gonna wear!? You’ve got to make him swoon."

“Lace, I don’t even know if he likes me. Heck! Remembers me even.”

“Trust me. The way you looked-” She shudders. “ You definitely left an impression. Luckily Cameron is like the sweetest guy on the face of the planet and wont hold it against you. BUT that just means we have to make sure you make a kick butt second impression.” She claps her hands together. “Lets get started, shall we."

I love it when Lacy goes into fashion mode. She lends me her faded light blue dress, the kind that looks like a really long button up shirt. I accented it with a thick black belt and my dainty silver cross necklace. I roll up the cuffs of my sleeves then slip on my black ankle combat boots and turn to Lacy.

“Well?” I ask giving her a little spin.

“I will never understand your fashion, but you look hot.” She gives me a huge smile then frowns. “but your hair.” she says motioning for me to sit down at the vanity.

It was still in a messy bun with insane frizz issues going on. But if anyone can make this mess look good, it’s her. After she finishes brushing it out, she curls my already curly hair (to make the curls more defined I guess) then brings some of it back and pulls the rest to the side.

“Wah-laa!” She says turning my chair around.

I am astonished at how fast she got me ready. It was only 3 and the cook out wasn’t till five.

“Thanks Lacy!” I stand up to give her a hug.

“No thanks necessary. You just have to help me get ready.”

It is about 4:30 when Lacy gets finished. She is wearing black skinny jeans and a silky, one shoulder, moss green top. Her hair is pulled back into a French twist bun with pieces of her golden hair falling out.

“You look great!” I tell her. “Zach won’t be able to keep his hands off you.”

“Har-har.” She rolls her eyes. “But seriously? You don’t think it’s to much?”

“Not at all.” I could tell Lacy was nervous. After all she was meeting Zach tonight and she has only been dreaming about this day since Allstar Weekend was formed.

Ariel walks in the kitchen. She’s got a dark red summer dress on, accenting her tan, and has her hair pinned back on one side. “You guys wanna help us finish setting up?”

We nod and follow her out the screen door. (One of the perks about living in an apartment us is getting your own yard.)

“You guys look absolutely stunning.” she says while setting plates down on the picnic table.

“Thanks Ariel! So do you.” Lacy says while un wrapping the napkins.

“Babe! Is the pork almost done?” Ariel shouts into the kitchen. “They should be here any minute!”

My stomach tightens.

What if Cameron didn’t remember me? What if he actually thinks I’m really weird and tries to sneak out during dinner? OH MY GOSH! What if he thinks I’m stalking him?
