When we got home, all the food was already set up in the garden, and the sound system was connected to the TV, so people could sing karaoke. All of my brother's teammates were already there.

Lyn and I headed straight to the kitchen to help out my grandma and aunt with the preparations. After finishing up, we all made our way to the garden.

People were happily singing, and some of my brother's teammates were even dancing. After a few hours in the garden, Lyn joined in the singing, so I was left sitting by myself, watching them enjoy.

"Alexandria, can we talk?" I was startled when I turned to see Azure sitting beside me. "What do we need to talk about?" I asked, curious, since I don't even know what to talk about.

"I just want to talk to you, can we?" he whispered softly, looking into my eyes. I could see the genuine desire to talk in his eyes, and I remembered the cut he had earlier, so I agreed to talk and treat his wound.

"Let's go to the veranda upstairs where it's quieter," I said, and he nodded in agreement. I walked inside the house, with him following closely behind.

As we stepped onto the veranda, the cool evening air enveloped us, offering a nice break from the lively atmosphere downstairs. "Sit down, I’ll just get something," I said and quickly went to the bathroom to grab the first aid kit.

When I returned, Von was resting his head against the couch, his eyes closed. I could see he was tired and sleepy but trying to stay awake.

I sat next to Von and started preparing to treat his wound. I gently took his arm and dabbed the cotton with antiseptic.

I glanced at his face to check if he was hurting, but he was just watching what I was doing. I focused on cleaning his wound and applied ointment and a bandage.

After that, I moved on to treating the cut on his leg. Luckily, he was wearing shorts, so it made my job easier.

Once I finished, I put everything back in order and glanced at Von, who was still watching me intently. I leaned back against the couch, curious about what he wanted to say.

"Uhm, so what did you want to talk about, Von?"

"You? Do you have anything you want to say? You've seemed distant since earlier."

"I was just thinking that maybe our little trips together will stop now," I said quietly, unsure of myself.

Von chuckled and ruffled my hair. "Don't worry, Ella. Even when we have classes, I'll still pick you up, and we'll still go out together. Just let me know your schedule so I’ll know when you’re free," he said happily, seeming pleased with my concern.

I felt a sense of relief from what Von said and quickly excused myself to grab my phone and send him my schedule. After sending it, we stayed on the couch, sitting quietly and staring at the moon.

The silence between us was comfortable, peaceful, probably because we were content just being beside each other without saying a word.

I glanced at Von and noticed his eyes were now closed, so I let him rest for a bit, knowing how tired he looked.

I couldn’t help but stare at his face, which looked even more handsome under the moonlight. From his perfectly shaped, slightly thick eyebrows, to his closed eyes and long lashes that are longer and thicker than mine, I bet. Then, his perfectly shaped nose and clear, blemish-free cheeks, down to his perfect lips.

I stared at him for so long that he eventually opened his eyes, probably sensing my gaze.

"Are you okay? If you're tired, you should go home. There's no need to wait for the others," I said softly. Von nodded in agreement and stood up. I followed him to see him out.

We stopped by the kitchen first, where Von said goodbye to my grandma and aunt. "Lola, Tita, I'll head out now. Please let Drix know, and thank you very much," he said politely.

"Take care on your way home," my aunt reminded him with a smile. I also told them I'd just walk Von to the gate.

As we approached his car, it lit up when he pressed the key. We stopped by the side of his car.

"I'll head out now," he said.

"Be careful on the road," I reminded him. But to my surprise, he took a deep breath, then suddenly wrapped me in his arms. "I don't want to leave yet, but I know you're tired too. Don’t forget to message me if you need anything, and take care always. I'll text you when I get home," Von said softly. I nodded at everything he said, and after a few more moments, he let go.

He got into his car and honked the horn three times, as he always did when he left.

I watched his car until it disappeared from sight, then went back inside. Feeling sleepy, I told my grandma and aunt that I was heading to bed and asked them to let my friends know if they asked.

Once in my room, I went straight to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

Just as I lay down, I received a message from Von, letting me know he had arrived home and was getting ready to sleep.

That night, I slept soundly with a light heart and a smile on my face.
