Dipper closed his eyes against the breeze flowing through the forest, it felt good in a strange way to be back in gravity falls, he could see the tree he used to climb when he wanted to be alone and the stump Mabel would stand on to order people around, he could hear the sound of the stream they would have splash fights in on hot days.
Dipper's reminiscent thoughts were tinged with bitterness as he remembered the last time he had talked to his sister. Dipper was pulled from his thoughts by a familiar voice.
"Dipper!"
Dipper turned with a grin to see Wendy jogging toward him wearing her usual plaid jacket and jeans.
"Where's Mabel?"
"Still in school she gets out in a couple weeks," Dipper answers with a smile. "How did you find me?"
Wendy looked to the trees with a fond expression "This was always where you went when you wanted to think."
After their short exchange they decided that they should go back to the shack if they wanted to get a good start on unpacking today, on the way they started to discuss how the last couple years had gone.
"How did you end up back here anyway?" Wendy twirled one of her axes as she talked, making Dipper a little concerned for his safety.
"I finished college early and needed something to do with my degree so I decided to study the anomalies of gravity falls." Dipper remembered how excited he had been when he found out he could study the peculiarities of the world and still get paid enough to live off. "Plus I needed to come back here, I needed to learn what I couldn't before."
"Dipper- hey look we made it!" Wendy cut herself off as the mystery shack came into view.
The mystery shack looked the same as Dipper remembered it with the fallen S and moss growing across the roof, really the only thing separating this mystery shack from the one in his memories was the large pile of boxes near the door.

Dipper grabbed the last box for the day and started up the stairs for the attic. Wendy had left about an hour ago to get dinner and had advised Dipper to do the same. Dipper had promptly ignored her in favor of trying to get more work done. He was now starting to regret that choice as he felt hunger gnaw at his insides.
He would just take this box up then he would get some food. When he got up the stairs he saw the room where he made a deal with Bill, and the widow that looked like him. Different memories of Bill flooded his mind, soon all he could think about was that dream demon.
Dipper took a deep breath steadying himself, he refused to let his stay at gravity falls be tainted with that monster. He pushed down his feelings and simply hoped that wherever Bill was he was miserable.
Dipper set down the box and made his way downstairs to make dinner.
Once he got to the kitchen he remembered that he had just moved in and there was no food in the house, sighing he realized he would have to go to the store tonight.

Dipper grabbed a box of cereal and dropped it in his cart. He looked around feeling like someone was watching him but there was no one else in the store. He shook his head knowing he was just being paranoid.
He grabbed the rest of the groceries he needed for the next few days, and went to check out.
