Top Gun: Rooster Is Dirty Dancing

Chapter 2

"I have been looking for you all over the place!"

Kellerman Resort, New York State U.S.A 1964

"Enjoy your evening, Mr. and Mrs. Salesman. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's dance lesson." Were the words that left Johnny's mouth.

He turned his back to the door and went straight to the record player to stop it from playing. He was quickly swallowed by a peaceful silence, yet a chocking one. He has been loving music for longer than he can remember. Taking the vinyl, he closed the record player and headed to the shelf to put the vinyl back in its case. While he was looking at his large collection, thinking about the songs that he will use for tomorrow's lessons, he felt a pair of hands, connected to a small body, hugging him from behind.

"I have been looking for you all over the place. You promised me a dance lesson" Baby greeted him.

"You promised not to make me wear a suit every time I come to visit you at work, lady Frances, still here we are, both complaining about broken promises" said Johnny, now facing his wife.

"Come on Johnny, after the shows that we put on the scene every time, you get more and more people wanting you to teach them how to dance. So by teaching me the last steps that I'm not comfortable with, we'll be unstoppable and your lessons will flourish." Baby was quick to reason, at the same time she picked up their current favourite song Hungry eyes and went straight for the record player.

"Then how can I stand in front of such success, and because I'm the best teacher you will learn in no time" said Johnny, waiting for her to start the music.

The music started, and the pair commenced dancing. There was no doubt, Johnny was the best dancer, after all this was his passion, and baby was like she was made for him, not the best learner but she had a strong will, and such stubbornness that she always believed everything has a positive outcome eventually, so they repeated and repeated until she mastered every step.

"Where is my frame?", "you have spaghetti arms!", "you are invading! This is my dance space, and this is yours! Now let's dance" were the words said by baby, while she was waiving her hand aggressively to be more explicit, after Johnny tried multiple times to get close to her. Those words got them both laughing every time they were mentioned making them recall their first week of dance lessons back in the day when they couldn't stand each other.

Johnny being the spontaneous one, took her hand and lead her through the woods to a meadow, where they kept dancing and telling each other funny jokes, the only witness to their unconditionally love being the moon.
