Despite the searing pain coursing through your shoulder and back, your thoughts were filled with him.

Vincenzo Cassano.

Y/N's POV

My heart was aching with a longing that surpassed the physical suffering of mine.
There were many other things to deal with but mere thought of his departure was eating me alive.

I clenched my jaw and tried to throw away these thoughts but I couldn't. His voice, his eyes, his scent, his smile, everything began to linger at the back of my mind.
"I am gonna go crazy..." I whispered lowly under my breath and took a deep breath in when another voice interrupted.

"I can see that." My eyes snapped open and looked at Chayoung who was standing near the door while leaning against it's frame.
"What-?" I tried to cover up my voice with my usual flat tone however my voice came more like a meek one. As if a Chipmunk was speaking. I cleared my throat and was about to speak again when Chayoung cut me off-

"I can see how much crazy you are for him." She leaned away from the door frame and walked towards me with slow strides.
"What rubbish." I brushed her off and looked at the other side, gazing out the window where the starts are decorating the night sky beautifully. Reminds of the night when Vincenzo consoled me when I was down. How things were easy back then, when I wasn't this impulsive and driven by emotions.

Everything took a turn because of this freaking man and now? Now he has to leave. He must. And I must stop thinking like this-

"Y/N..." Chayoung called out in a soft voice making me turn towards her. For a second I forgot she was there. For some reason, no words were needed. She somehow understood what was I thinking about and I knew what she wanted to imply. No matter how much I deny this.

I desperately wanted to share at least a goodbye.

Meanwhile:

Vincenzo gripped his temporary passport and looked at it. Somehow, this was making him overwhelmed with emotions.

He was leaving Korea.
Not forever, but for a long period of time.

He looked up to see Mr.Ahn and Mr.Cho gesturing him to move fast because the clock was ticking. Vincenzo himself couldn't understand why he felt so hesitant, he never felt like this, ever. The truth was, his heart was feeling heavy.

Heavy with a emotion.

Emotion he had for you.

You could visit Italy but if there won't be any reason other than your mafia business, you won't even think of leaving Korea.
Even if it was said that his business was over, he didn't feel like it. He still didn't get to meet you and share at least a proper goodbye.

Maybe after this, you won't even want to meet him because after all, you were nothing but partners in business.

A Consigliere

And A Mafia Heir.

Pretty hectic. And business was over between them given to agreement they had over gold.

Snapping out of his thought, Vincenzo pocketed his passport and went towards his car and opened the door. His heart yearned to talk to you for the last time but he couldn't.
He was about to get into his car when headlights of certain car flashed on his face. Mr.Cho and Mr.Ahn were on alert position but Vincenzo wasn't.

Because he knew this car too well for his own liking. His heart, which previously felt heavy, was now filled with immense relief.
He saw your face through the glass and his eyes began to blink rapidly. Chayoung helped you to get out of the car and your eyes met with Vincenzo's.
