(A/N: I was rereading LN's Y1V1 to continue writing with my own changes but damn I'm such an idiot. I hadn't remembered some details about the beginning. At LN they have a first ceremony. And after classes they have another ceremony about some general information about the campus and they only receive their IDs after the first ceremony. When I was writing the last chapter and this one, I had in mind that it would be just one ceremony and that they had already received the student cards before. In this fic they only had a ceremony and already had their IDs in hand for contact and more information would be explained in the classroom. To "fix" this mess, let's assume that here they already received their ID without the points function. It's a bit of a lousy stopgap so I apologize for this silly oversight. I'll pay even more attention to these details. In my head, when I was writing, I thought they were both the same ceremony.

That said, several events will obviously be changed and even completely replaced by events and happenings that I'm still cooking. I honestly want to try something different from the same old events and hopefully write something that will keep you interested. And if you are as confused as I was about the two ceremonies or are at least interested, here are some discoveries and research I have done about this:

The first ceremony is called "Nyūgakushiki" (入学式 ), in English is "Entrance Ceremony". This is the first ceremony, usually held on the first day of school. It is a solemn occasion to welcome new students who are beginning their new year of study, whether in elementary, middle or high school. All students and teachers participate, and there are speeches by principals and student representatives. This ceremony may take place before classes officially begin, as a way to kick off the school year. (This is the ceremony I used).

The second one is called "Shigyōshiki" (始業式), in English is "Opening Ceremony". This one is more geared toward all students (not just new ones) and serves as a celebration of the beginning of the school year for the school as a whole. It marks the official start of academic activities and is less formal than the first, and may include other announcements or guidelines. (This is the ceremony i'll ignore for plot convenience).

Well, let's get started with the chapter).

Ayanokoji POV

Recognition

When we talk about recognition, we often refer to the validation we receive from the world around us. This can come from friends, family, colleagues or even people we don't know. This type of recognition is important because it helps us feel that our contributions and efforts are valued. It can strengthen relationships, boost self-esteem, and motivate us to continue pursuing our goals.

Also, the self-recognition is equally important. It refers to the ability to acknowledge and value our own achievements, qualities, and even imperfections. It is an act of self-care that promotes self-esteem and confidence. When we are capable of recognizing ourselves, we develop a deeper understanding of who we are and what we want, leading to a more authentic and fulfilling life.

When I was in that facility, the idea of recognition never crossed my mind. My biggest priority was always to adapt to the challenges and survive on my own, the idea of seeking any recognition was out of the question. But since I left there and started living with Eiichiro and Matsuo, I have experienced the feeling of acceptance and recognition many times. These two were like a beacon that illuminated my path.

And now, as if my feelings were amplified exponentially, I was now being greeted by several applauses of excitement and support from several people at the same time. The shower of applause continued fervently in my support as I couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed, but happy for putting in the extra effort in my speech. I could tell what that feeling was. The feeling of self-recognition.
