Family Ties and Familiar faces
Sophia's departure left Eddie and Asher uneasy.
Their love had become a ticking time bomb.
Days passed, tension building.
Then, a surprise visit from Tyler and Perry.
"Guys, we need to talk," Tyler said, his expression serious.
Perry nodded. "Smith's parents have returned to the state."
Eddie's eyes widened. "How did they find out?"
Tyler's voice dropped. "Sophia contacted them."
Asher's face paled. "What do they want?"
Perry's expression grim. "To confront Eddie about his 'unnatural' relationship."
Eddie's heart sank. Smith's parents had always been protective.
Their arrival would ignite a firestorm.
The doorbell rang, and Eddie's anxiety spiked.
Asher's hand found Eddie's, a reassuring touch.
Together, they faced the impending storm.
Mr. and Mrs. Donalds arrived, accompanied by their daughter, Emma.
Sophia's words had sparked skepticism, not belief.
They sought truth, not accusations.
As they entered, Asher's eyes locked onto the familiar faces.
His heart racing, memories flooded back.
The same eyes, the same smile, the same voices.
Asher's vision blurred, his legs buckling.
Eddie rushed to catch him, holding him close.
"Asher, breathe!" Eddie urged.
Mr. Donalds's voice echoed, laced with concern. "What's wrong?"
Mrs. Donalds's eyes widened, taking in Asher's face.
The resemblance to Smith was striking.
Emma's gasp mirrored her parents' shock.
"How...?" Mrs. Donalds whispered.
Asher's eyes fluttered open, terror and memories swirling.
The gunshot, the pain, the loss.
He remembered.
Eddie's grip tightened, comforting Asher.
Mr. Donalds approached, hesitantly. "Asher, can you... talk to us?"
Asher's voice trembled. "D-dad... Mom..."
The Donalds exchanged glances, stunned.
Could this be?
Reincarnation?
A concept they'd never believed.
Yet, the resemblance, Asher's reaction...
Questions swirled.
