Y/N POV:

The clock ticked steadily in my room, its sound echoing against the polished marble walls of Heaven. It felt oddly suffocating in here, despite the bright and airy ambiance of the celestial realm. Charlie and Vaggie were packing their things, preparing to return to Hell. The weight of impending doom settled heavily on my chest. I had to do something—I couldn't just sit back and let this happen. Not after everything.

The extermination was looming over us like a dark cloud, and the pain of losing Lucifer, Charlie's father, felt like an open wound. I recalled the passion in Charlie's voice, her determination to uphold her father's legacy. But they needed allies to help fight against the council's plans, and I knew just the person who might join us: Emily.

I took a deep breath and stepped out of my room, my heart racing. I knocked on Emily's door, the sound echoing slightly in the quiet hallway.

"Y/N! Oh! Hello!" she said, her face lighting up with a warm smile that quickly faded to concern. "Do you need anything?"

"I wanted to talk about the extermination," I replied, feeling the weight of my words.

Emily's expression tensed. I knew how she felt about the extermination; the news had hit her hard during the meeting when Adam revealed it. The shock and disbelief still lingered in her eyes.

"Come in," she said softly, stepping aside to let me enter. She closed the door behind us, and we sat on her bed, a thick silence enveloping the room.

The walls were decorated with pictures of the serene landscapes of Heaven—endless fields of flowers and soft, glowing skies. But in this moment, the beauty felt tainted by the reality of our situation.

"We need to gather allies," I blurted out, breaking the silence.

"What?" Emily asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.

"If we get enough people to see what our dream is—what Charlie's dream is—maybe we can stop the extermination for good! We can still... Maybe we can still save his dream..." My voice trembled with urgency.

Emily's expression shifted, softening as she considered my words. "You loved him, didn't you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

A heavy sigh escaped my lips. "Yes, Emily... I did love him. More than anyone could ever know. If you had been around back then, you would have seen how much I adored him. How much I cared..."

I paused, memories flooding back—moments of laughter, warmth, and a connection that felt eternal. But then, my expression hardened. "...But Heaven took all of that away from me. My only light... My only happiness. That's why we need to stop this extermination and save his dream. Are you in?"

Emily looked at me, her eyes reflecting a mixture of sadness and determination. "We have to make Sera see... We have to make her see what's right."

The resolve in her voice stirred something inside me, and I felt a flicker of hope ignite. "Right. We'll need to gather support from others too—Seraphim who care about Charlie and what her father stood for."

Emily nodded, her spirit bolstered. "But we have to be careful. The council won't take kindly to dissenters. If they catch wind of our plans..."

"I know," I interrupted, the weight of fear settling in again. "But we can't let that stop us. We have to be smart about this."

Emily stood up and began pacing the small room, her thoughts racing. "What if we started with the ones who are close to Sera? If we can sway them, it might convince her to take action."
