Y/N POV:
When I came to, I was disoriented, the air thick with tension. I blinked against the dim light, struggling to focus. I was in a cold, sterile chamber, bound to a chair with shimmering chains that pulsed with energy.
My heart raced as the realization sank in: I was captured.
The door creaked open, and Sera stepped inside, flanked by two council members. Her expression was unreadable, but her eyes sparkled with a hint of satisfaction.
"Welcome back, Y/N," she said, her tone dripping with false sweetness. "I hope you enjoy your stay."
"Why are you doing this, Sera?" I demanded, anger flooding through me. "You were one of us!"
"Was I?" she shot back, her voice sharp. "You were naive to think you could challenge the council. You've put everyone at risk, including yourself."
"I was fighting for what's right! For all the souls in Hell who's being killed, who don't even get a second chance!" I shot back, desperation rising in my throat.
"Oh please," she scoffed, crossing her arms. "Your rebellion is a joke. You think you can save Hell? You're just a misguided child playing at hero."
I clenched my fists, frustration boiling within me. "You're betraying everything we stood for! We wanted to create a better Heaven, one where love and acceptance thrive!"
"Acceptance?" she laughed, a hollow sound. "That's a luxury. In the real world, strength is what matters. And you—" she pointed at me, "you're weak."
The council members moved closer, their eyes narrowing. "We're going to make an example of you," one said, their voice low and menacing. "You'll serve as a warning to anyone else who dares to defy us."
"No!" I shouted, panic flooding through me. "You can't do this!"
Sera leaned closer, her expression cold. "Oh, but we can. And we will."
As they began to activate the chains, a surge of determination ignited within me. I wouldn't go down without a fight. With all my strength, I pushed against the restraints, channeling every ounce of willpower I had.
"Stop!" I yelled, pouring my energy into breaking free. "You won't silence me!"
The chains crackled with energy, but I could feel the pressure building. "You may think you have power over me, but you're wrong!" I shouted, my voice ringing out in defiance.
Suddenly, a blinding light exploded from me, the chains shattering under the force of my determination. I surged to my feet, adrenaline coursing through my veins.
But before I could make a move, the council members lunged at me, their expressions twisted in surprise and rage. I fought back, using my wings to push them away, but I was outnumbered.
"Get her!" Sera screamed, fury in her eyes.
I darted toward the door, but the council was closing in. I had to escape. I had to warn the others. I pushed through the door and sprinted down the hallway, the sound of their footsteps echoing behind me.
As I dashed through the corridors, I could hear their shouts growing closer. I needed to find a way out. My mind raced, searching for any possible escape route.
Just ahead, I spotted a window—a chance. I ran toward it, my heart pounding in my chest. I could hear them gaining on me, their voices laced with anger.
"Don't let her escape!" one shouted.
With a burst of energy, I leaped toward the window, shattering it with a powerful kick. Glass sprayed around me, but I didn't stop. I jumped through the opening, landing hard on the ground below.
Pain shot through my legs, but I pushed through it, scrambling to my feet. I had to keep moving. I could still hear their voices, their anger echoing in the air.
I raced into the cover of the trees, adrenaline surging as I ducked and weaved through the forest. I needed to reach the others. I needed to warn them about Sera and the council's plans.
With every step, the weight of betrayal burned in my chest, but I refused to let it break me. We had fought too hard, come too far, and I wouldn't let them take that away from us.
As I navigated the woods, I knew one thing: this wasn't just a battle for the thought of redemption anymore. It was a fight for survival, and I was determined to win.
A/N: The reason why i'm posting alot of parts today, is because I actually wrote this a VERY long time ago. I just thought it needed changes, so I asked my friend to help me revise it. I'm not the best at writing, so I send her the story for her to make some changes. (She's really good at writing, and she gets all A+ at English- I'm Jealous 😭) I've been busy at school, so I couldn't post it. So don't think i'm overworking myself!! I also sometimes just write it on google docs during school, then when I get home, I copy and paste it to my Wattpad. Luckily, I don't get caught 🤭 This week, i'm planning to get at least 6 chapters in. I hope you guys enjoyed!
Love, ~Amy~ 💐
