Tim Tamara and Lucy were laying on the sofa watching a film it was times like these Tamara loved and one day would miss she loved her new found family especially Lucy Lucy was Tamara's favourite everyone including Tim knew it she was always so clingy to Lucy's side they finished the film but Tamara was still deep in thought Lucy gently tapped her shoulder Tamara blinked and looked up to Lucy
L-you okay?
Ta-yea I just want to say thank you to both of you for taking me in
L-of course
T-no problem kiddo
L-so who wants to eat chocolate
Ta-not me I hardly even have an appetite right now
L-yea its probably just the chemo tam
Ta-I know but it sucks I finished the chemo i wasn't supposed to have to do it again
L-I know tam but it should hopefully clear up okay
Ta-okay I'm going to take a nap
T-sleep well kiddo

Tamara went in her room she hated cancer and wished that it would go away soon she quickly wrote a page in her diary before falling asleep on her bed
Two hours later Lucy entered Tamara room to put the washing away she saw Tamara's diary and thought about reading it but knew that it was a personal thing to Tamara so she just left it she put the clothes away and Tamara woke up
Ta-m-mum? Is that you?
L-yea just putting some of your clothes away
Ta-thanks
L-no problem are you hungry
Ta-not really maybe something small will help tho
L-soup?
Ta-chicken soup and buttered bread
L-yep I'll get you it
Ta-okay I'll come with you
L-come on then Lucy made the food and Tamara ate it

L-then we'll do more chemo until it does okay

L-are you worried about it baby
Ta-yea I mean when the doctor said that it was my last chemo I thought that it would be as-well but now here I am again just a stupid girl with cancer
L-Tamara don't say that sweetheart your not stupid okay you are your own person
Ta-how i can't even play sports or go near people when there sick
L-I know but soon enough this will clear I hope okay
Tamara just nodded she went in her room and scrolled through TikTok
Lucy sat on the sofa with Tim when she started to cough and sneeze
T-are you okay
L-I think I'm sick I'm going to go to my room u can't make tam get sick
T-okay I'll let her know to keep her distance so she doesn't get sick again
L-okay
Lucy went to bed and slept whilst Tim cleaned where Lucy had touched and sat Tamara came out her room
Ta-where's mum
T-you can't really go near her right now tam she's really sick
Ta-what but I need mum
T-she'll be better soon okay
Ta-okay can I make mum and our tea
T-sure
Ta-okay it's a surprise don't come on the kitchen Tamara made pizzas and put there names on the pizza with pepperoni for Tim and Lucy and ham for herself
T-that looks amazing tam I'll give Lucy hers
Ta-can I stand in the doorframe I want to see mums reaction
T-okay but not to close okay we can't have you getting any worse
Ta-okay Tamara stood in the door frame Lucy blew Tamara a kiss and started to eat the pizza Tamara ate her pizza then went to bed the next morning Tamara ran into the living room
Ta-is mum better yet
T-not yet tam it'll probably take a few days okay your coming with me to the station today
Ta-okay they arrive at the station and Tamara is just sadly on the sofa in Tim's office whilst he sat at his desk doing paperwork
Angela saw Tamara looking sad so she entered Tim's office and sat next to Tamara
A-you okay tam
Ta-no I'm sad
A-why are you sad tam
Ta-I can't see mum because she's sick all because of this stupid cancer she said crying
A-oh tam come here Angela hugged Tamara
Ta-I just want to go be with mum
T-Tamara we both know that you will get really sick from it
Ta-can I just go home please I won't go to mum I'll just get a seat and sit in the doorframe to talk to her
T-umm
A-if you want I can go with her
T-okay as long as Angela stays with you but you are not to enter the bedroom under any circumstances okay
Ta-okay
They left Tim and arrived at the apartment
Tamara got a chair and sat at the doorframe Lucy was awake
L-hey tam
Ta-hi mum Tamara said excitedly they was talking when Lucy started to cough really bad she stopped coughing
L-can you get Tim or whoever's with you to get me a drink
Tamara-yes Angela's here Tamara went to Angela
A-you okay tam
Ta-Lucy needs a drink
A-okay I'll grab her one
Ta-can I get it for her?
A-Tamara you heard your dad you are not to enter the bedroom
Ta-it's just stupid
A-I know
Angela gave Lucy her water
L-don't forget to tell Tim that Tamara has her chemo tomorrow morning at 10am
A-okay I'll tell him
Two hours later Tim arrived home
T-how are you guys doing
A-good
Ta-okay
A-Lucy said to tell you not to forget Tamara has her chemo tomorrow morning at 10am
Ta-no I'm not going
T-tam you need to it's to make you better
Ta-I can't do chemo without mum
T-I'll go instead okay
Ta-fine
The next morning Tamara does her chemo and sleeps in her bed she really wanted to sleep with Lucy she stumbled out of her room and saw Tim asleep on the sofa she didn't care about how sick she could get she just wanted her mum she stumbled towards the bedroom peering through the door she saw Lucy asleep she quietly slipped into the room and got in bed with Lucy quickly falling asleep next to her
Five hours later Lucy had woke up assuming it was tim next to her until she felt long hair she turned and saw Tamara asleep shit shit shit she thought
L-TIM Lucy yelled
T-what happene- Shit Tim quickly woke Tamara up
Ta-mmm she groaned as her eyes slowly opened
T-Tamara what the actual fuck do you think your doing
Ta-I just wanted mum
T-I know tam but mums sick okay you shouldn't even be in here let alone sleeping with her okay
L-dads right tam you could get yourself really sick and your immune system can't fight it off
Ta-I'm sorry okay I just wanted things to be normal again
L-I know but they can't until I'm better okay Tim feel her forehead make sure she isn't sick
Tim put his hand on Tamara forehead immediately pulling it back
T-fuck she's burning up
L-take her to the hospital explain the situation and get her admitted for the night or however long they say okay
T-I will
Ta-mum
L-yes tam
Ta-can I have a hug I'm already sick it won't do anything now
L-of course you can come on
Lucy held Tamara in a hug then Tim took Tamara to the hospital she got checked out and had a blood test
An hour later the doctor returned to the hospital room with Tamara's results
D-okay so she is now very sick and it has made her cancer progress so I need to start her on medicines and chemo to stop it there is now a very big chance the cancer will become terminal
Ta-what is the percentage that she could become terminal
D-I'd say at least 86% she is very very sick and if she even goes near any bacteria it will affect the cancer more so we're going to admit her until the cancer slows back down
T-okay thank you doctor
D-no problem let me just connect her up to these medicines and chemo
Tamara got connected up and the doctor left
Ta-I'm so tired and achy
T-I know tam but you really can't do that okay you have to stay away from people who are sick for your own good
Ta-I know and I knew the consequences but I just wanted mum so bad you don't even understand she's the only one who was with me when I went to chemo so yes it was hard to do it without mum and now I'm in hospital without mum
T-I know tam and I'm sport okay but this isn't permanent it's just temporary until she's not sick okay
Ta-yea I guess
The next morning the chemo and medicines had taken affect quickly making Tamara return to being tired and weak again the doctor entered replacing the empty bags with new medicines and more chemo as the end of the week came Tamara had been sleeping a lot she was only awake long enough to have a few minutes of a conversation before falling asleep again.
