Timed Promises Of Forever.
You say you will be mine forever,
But maybe in the next second our lives will be over,
You say you will meet me in another life, promising and giving me a kiss,
But, darling, you never know how many times we have been together in the lives we lived before this. You say we will stay in love and never depart,
How do I tell you crumbling down doesn't wait for us to be apart?
You ramble about spending each second together,
I didn't have the heart to tell you about all those times where I failed to keep it altogether. You promised to stay and it felt evergreen,
I felt you around when I passed by, but those brown eyes of yours were never seen.Walking out of these promises you once made, I drew a painful realisation,
Reality often becomes distant when you overdo the romanticisation.
— svi.Dedicated to those sweet promises people make blindly, not realising their promises are timed just as their lives are. Maybe forever exists but lasts for a couple of seconds and sometimes continues even when everything is over.
