A few days passed and Jade was still at Mei and Dina's dorm sleeping on their couch. Avoiding Ellie at all costs.
"You know you're gonna have to go back to your dorm eventually," Dina said sipping her coffee.
"I know I appreciate both you and Mei for letting me crash here. I'm gonna go back after my classes. I just need space from her. My mind just turns to mush when I'm around her." Jade said sighing.
"It sounds like you might like her maybe," Dina said.
"No not at all" Jade denied.
She can't fall for Ellie. She doesn't want to. It would just be easier to just keep things the way they are.
"You say that now," Dina mumbled.
"Well, Imma head out. Thanks again Dina, I know you and Ellie are close but I do appreciate the advice you gave me these past few days." Jade said with a smile.
"No worries we're friends too so I'm happy to help. Hope you have a good day." Dina said smiling back.
Jade left her friend's dorm and walked out. She then bumped into someone.
"Oh sorry." They said in unison.
Jade looked up to see Ellie who was staring right back at her.
"Are you done hiding?" Ellie said rolling her eyes.
"I needed space. You can be a lot to deal with." Jade snapped.
"And you are an even bigger headache to deal with," Ellie responded.
"Whatever. I'm going to class." Jade said storming off.
Unfortunately, Ellie and Jade have a class together and sit next to each other for a good hour. Jade tried to focus on the lecture but she could hear Ellie constantly tapping the desk with a pen and playing with it. Jade looked at her hands for a bit. How her hands were so feminine but also masculine at the same time.
"Are you staring at my hands weirdo," Ellie whispered.
"No. Not everything evolves around you." Jade denied.
"You're such a bad liar." Ellie chuckled.
"I'm not lying," Jade whispered back.
"You scrunch your nose a little when you're about to tell a lie. You've been doing it since we were kids." Ellie said softly.
"And I'm the weirdo," Jade muttered.
"Miss Jones, Miss Williams care to share with the class about what's so important than today's lecture." The professor interrupted.
"Nothing professor." The two said glaring at each other right after.
The class ended not long after. Jade got up as Ellie followed.
"Jade! Hey." Kate said walking over.
"Hey Kate how are you," Jade said with a smile which made Ellie roll her eyes as she kept walking.
"Class with grumpy pants I see," Kate said eyeing Ellie as she walked off.
"Yeah, we have a couple of science and math classes together. But let's not mention her." Jade said not wanting to talk about her and Ellie.
"You got it." Kate grinned wrapping an arm around Jade's arm.
The two walked around and talked about their day, what was going on in their lives, and any new hobbies. Pretty much anything the two could think of and Jade enjoyed the distraction. Kate was sweet and caring which she admired. She's also very pretty and Jade's type obviously since they dated in the past.
"I gotta go but I'll see you tomorrow for our date," Jade said.
"Wouldn't miss that for the world." Kate winked as the two parted ways.
Jade suddenly had an incoming call and it was Mei.
"I saw you and Kate together and you need an outfit for your date tomorrow," Mei said.
"Stalker much," Jade said chuckling.
"This serious Jade you never dress up and this Kate you gotta show her that you are a hot babe that usually never gives second chances but you were the lucky one should be grateful kind of vibe you know," Mei said.
"Mei I think you're overthinking it. It's just a date." Jade said walking towards the dorms.
"And you don't think about it enough. Kate is one of the cutest lesbians on campus and she is going on a date with you. Which may I add is a pretty big deal because you never go out." Mei replied.
"Okay, so what should I do," Jade said walking into the dorm to hear giggling.
She peaked to see Ellie with a girl. She was tan, had medium-length curly brown hair, and brown eyes. They didn't seem to pay attention when Jade walked in. Ellie was smiling at her which made Jade's heart almost stop.
"Jade hello did you make it home? Did you want to go shopping or not." Mei said.
Jade then walked back out of her dorm.
"Yeah, why not," Jade said.

Super short chapter, I promise that there will be more to come! Thank you to everyone who has been reading thus far! This was based on the idea of me wanting a fanfic where everyone is in college and Ellie being a jock lol. Also if anyone can draw Ellie in a soccer uniform I would top dollar for that hands down and softball aaaaahhhhhhh!!!! But I still have plenty more chapters to publish. I have been editing and writing new chapters at the same time so I have something to publish plus not get burnt out which I have done in the past :(( But rest assured I already know what I want to write for the future so stay tuned for that.
