The next day, Y/n got ready, in a proper outfit. The one which looked good on her while she took a tour around the college.
First impressions matter, right?
She had decided she was going to focus on her academics from the very first day.
But it just seemed like that it wasn't her decision anymore. It was in someone else's hands.
Her and Daniel had decided to meet at the park. Apparently, her father didn't want any strange boys at the house. She thought not to argue about it because it would be a wastage of her time.
.
She reached the park and turned out that she was the first one to reach and that meant that she had to wait for Daniel.
The weather wasn't very good to her. It was a very sunny day and she concluded it to be a disadvantage of being punctual.
"Girls are supposed to be late and here look who's late." She muttered to herself as she looked around to see for any sign of Larusso.
She kicked a stone and it actually didn't reach far but instead hurt her toe in return.
"Wow. Not a very bad start." She sarcastically laughed.
"Why are you hurting that stone?"
She looked up to see Daniel standing there with a confused look on his face.
"You mean...why is that stone hurting me?" She asked.
"You are the one kicking it." He shrugged.
"You know what? You are right. I am just being dumb." She shook her head.
"You were smart. Got dumb being with him." Daniel scoffed.
" So you mean I am not smart anymore?" She raised an eyebrow.
She didn't get dumb being with Lawrence...maybe a bit but that's what love does to a person, right?
"I...uh-"
"Atleast smarter than you." She gave him a tight smile.
He scratched the back of his neck and chuckled nervously.
"Probably. Let's go. We can decide who's smarter some other time." He smiled and she nodded.
"I was joking, Daniel."
"I know you are... you have been through so much. There's no way I would take any word of yours in the wrong way." He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Feels good to have a friend like you." She sighed and turned to walk towards the college.
" Don't you think it's a very bad idea to walk towards the college in such a hot weather?" He asked as he looked at the sun.
"Didn't feel like driving." She shrugged.
"And I have to suffer with you?" He asked.
"You have no other choice." She smirked.
.
Soon after some time of them both complaining about the hot weather, they reached the college.
"I told you it was a bad ide-"
Before Daniel could finish his sentence, an elderly looking man approached them.
"Behave. Looks like a teacher." Y/n whispered to Daniel and he quickly nodded.
"Yes? What do you want?" The man asked.
"I uh...we...are actually here for the college tour." Y/n nervously answered.
"Both of you?" The man asked.
They both quickly nodded.
"Which high school do you come from?"
"West valley High school." They both answered at the same time in a well mannered way.
"Huh. Some other students are also here for the tour from that highschool .Might be your friends. You should join them."
They both looked confused.
"Why does he think we would have friends?" Daniel whispered to her.
She shot him a look which clearly shouted - ' what the fuck do you mean by that?'
Daniel quickly got the answer and he composed himself.
"Ready? It will be good if you all go in as a group. And not seperately. Might save our time." The man smiled and that gave them both no other choice.
"Sure." Y/n answered and the man motioned them both to follow him.
But they both maintained their distance so they could talk behind his back.
"Who do you those other students are?" Daniel whispered to her.
"You do realise there were many students at that Highschool, it could be anyone. " She answered.
Soon they stopped in front of the waiting area and when they both stepped in there, well...let's just say...the view wasn't pleasant.
The cobras.
Jimmy's head shot up and he immediately smirked after seeing the duo.
"Look who's here." He scoffed.
All the other cobras shot their heads up , all of them smirked, except for Johnny.
"Great." Y/n muttered.
"Fuck." Daniel muttered.
"You both can wait here. They are from your highschool right?" The man asked.
"Sure we are sir. We shared classes....and so many other things. You won't have a problem." Johnny answered as he eyed the duo.
"That's good. Take a seat please. And we will send a student to take you on the tour." The teacher said and left.
Y/n and Daniel stood there frozen.
Johnny raised an eyebrow.
"You both want to sit or just stand there, posing?"
Y/n quickly grabbed Daniel's hand and took him to the other row of seats which were a bit away from them.
"Wow." Tommy gasped as he saw Y/n holding Daniel's hand.
"Don't start." Johnny warned him.
"I know better for myself,Johnny." Tommy chuckled.
Daniel leaned closer to her.
“Great, just what we needed. The Cobras are here too. I don’t like it.” He whispered and glanced sideways at their rivals.
She noded and her eyes darted toward the group.
“I know. Can’t they just stay in their corner?”
Just then, Johnny who had been chatting with Dutch caught Daniel’s words and turned towards them with a smirk forming on his face.
“What’s that, LaRusso? You have a problem with us being here?”
“Not a problem, just an observation. You guys always seem to bring the drama.”
“Drama? Or maybe just the fun you’re missing out on?”
“This isn’t the time, Johnny." Y/n interjected.
“What’s the matter, Y/n? Can’t handle a little competition?” Johnny shrugged.
Daniel’s jaw tightened and he was about to shoot back but Y/n placed a hand on his arm, and signaled him to hold back.
“Let’s just focus on the tour."
“Suit yourself but don't think that this tour will be quiet and easy for you." He winked at her and she felt that old feeling forming in her stomach but quickly pushed the feeling away.
A/n: what do you think will happen?
