29/4/331 - 35/5/331

In this time, lasting one month (60 days) and 6 days, we prepared ourselves properly. First I forged a sword fit for me. I worked in a forge for over a decade, making weapons almost every day. The weapon I made at that time was very heavy and thick. It was a large piece of sword-shaped iron. With my strength I would still be able to cut through the enemies, although It was not sharp. Outside my forge there was a small garden where I could try the weapons I forged. I trained there with Lunim all that time. I taught him how to male a better use of weapons, instead, he taught me how to scan the enemy's weak points to attack with greater effect and precision.
His weapon was a sword a bit flexible, but with a peculiarity: the blade was attached to a thread quite thick. In the center of it, there was a hole where an arrow could be inserted. His weapon also could become a bow with reduced power. The material I used was flexible and durable, so it would work. I didn't know how useful it could be, but it was definitely something more. In the meantime I also modeled two light but strong armor, and two helmets that could hide our face. In addition, we developed the first strategy: During the first attack we would be positioned a few kilometers from the center of the battle, seeing its course. At the right time we would take part in the battle, taking sides with the enemy to destroy the army of Avaloria. My strength was equal to that of a hundred men, so I would be a necessary advantage for the enemy army.
Using my strength, and combining It with Lunim's analytical precision, victory would be almost assured. Meanwhile, we were informed about the movements of the army of Avaloria through an acquaintance of mine, Shipher, a political writer, an old friend of my father's, who accepted my call for help. He was able to obtain information about the political events, in this case, of the next attacks of the king. Apparently, they would have benefited, partly, from the army of Metikia and Mestinia. With these they would attack Chromelia, one of the city of Aostra that the king had brought before him. This one bordered only with Nordalia, so the battle would take place on the border between Cromelia and Nordalia. This means that, in case of difficulty, a part of his army could have come to the aid of the other two. With extreme precision, I sought out companions willing to help me. It was not easy to reveal my intentions without risking being beheaded, in fact I could not find anyone, not because they did not agree, because they were afraid and, honestly, I did not need anyone who was terrified. But at least I would have been sure that they would not reveal anything to anyone because, if they could, they would help me. At that point it was just me and Lunim, ready to attack and win against the bastard's minions. But there was a problem: I should have made sure that no attacks came to or from Tenebria, otherwise my sister would also be involved, and it was the last thing I wanted to happen. I didn't know yet how to prevent it from happening but, for the moment, since Tenebria was not involved, I didn't worry about it; however, it would be my first concern if she were dragged into battle. I didn't have much time to spend with Eimin this month, but I didn't ignore her. Actually she seemed to be a little absent too. She usually stayed at home since our parents were no longer present, but I did not always find her under our roof in this time period.

Point of view - Eimin

As soon as the meeting was over, I went to my room, I didn't want to know anything about it. Goldora tried to hide it, but I could feel his bad feelings. I was sure that his goal was not only to overthrow the king, it was not something that he would do, or rather, yes, but he was not so crazy to do so. Also, I didn't want him to go down like an idiot, so I decided I'd help him. I know if I asked him he would stop me, so I trained in secret. He was a blacksmith, so I could have had him forge a weapon, but he would never let me. So I had to ask one of his clients if he could take two swords for me, along with a suit of armor, making sure he didn't tell anyone, After all, it is hard for many men to believe that a girl is asking them a favor without thinking she's in love, so it was relatively simple. Got the swords and armor, I decided to hide them under my bed. Goldora had never entered our room without permission. Although it belonged to both, he always wanted to knock before entering. He was aware of the privacy that girls need. So, when he was away for work, or training with Lunim I would go to a nearby groove to practice with my sword on pieces of wood or trees. I have never trained with weapons, because Goldora had never allowed me to use them but, very often, I noticed how he or his clients used them and I tried to imitate them with sticks. Obviously the sword is heavier, so I made a little effort at first... I think that the strength is in the genetics of Nustier, I managed to get used to it in a really short time. The first ten days I improved the lunges and the descending strokes, so I was more or less ready for a low level opponent. I had asked my brother's client to get me two swords, because I thought that in practice they would chip or break. So my idea was to use one for training, and one to fight when the time came; but my brother was a really good blacksmith, with many years of experience and, despite all the blows with the sword, did not chip a bit. Then I had an idea: what if I used both to fight? So, on the eleventh day, I tried to practice with the double sword. I had a lot of trouble holding two in different hands. With the shots I was very uncoordinated, and I couldn't hit well. With a little training I improved my precision, but strength was still lacking, especially with the non-dominant hand. So I dropped the sword that I used in my right hand, and started to strike with the one in my left. My training was not limited to the use of swords. In the meantime I had learned more or less to read, but writing was still not good. So I started to hold the goose feathers, to write, even with my left hand. Washing, laying out, folding clothes, I did everything with my left hand. I cleaned the house with my left hand and also ate with my left. So I improved control and precision. In 60 days, someone can expect great improvements, but still limited. What I did with the right handle was a level higher than what I did with the left, but, anyway, I thought it was enough. When I was practicing in the woods I noticed this improvement, and I was really happy. Afterwards, I installed some devices to learn the defence with my sword, I tied a big stick to a twined rope on a tree. So the piece of wood swung and I could block it by splitting the air, with the sword, upwards, and hitting it with the other. In this way, with the right sword, more precisely, I defended myself, with the left one, more clumsy, I struck. Clumsiness could have become unpredictable, but I didn't want to use it as an excuse not to keep improving my grip, so I continued training. Goldora seemed quite worried that I wasn't at home as usual, but for some reason he didn't want to talk about it. I felt sorry for him but, for me, it was better that way. Being that Goldora and Lunim often argued in the house, when I pretended to sleep, I learned about the plans they had in store. He knew that the battle would be between Nordalia and Cromelia, and that they would stop, waiting for a favorable situation. When they decided what to do, I would have stepped in. Being in a difficult position and in the middle of the action, Goldora would not have had time to send me away, and would let me fight. After all, he was aware of my abilities, the abilities of the Nustier dynasty, he had simply always wanted to protect me. I should have shown him that I could fight.
