Dragons Rising Season 2 Episode 3, Beyond the Phantasm Cave

Four brightly colored metal hooks appear at the top of a large hole in the ground. Then, three people climb out of said hole with a giant red mech right behind them.

Arin and Riyu jump off of Kai's mech, with Wyldfyre riding on top of Riyu. Sora then walks over to Arin, a sad and disappointed look on her face.

"Arin, I'm sorry. I tried everything I could. I just don't know–" She starts before getting cut off by Arin.

"–Spinjitzu. It's ok. I don't have Elemental Powers." Arin finishes, looking sadly at the ground for a moment before continuing with a smile, "Maybe that's why together..."

"We make such a good team." Sora finishes, reaching over to pull Arin into a hug.

A short distance away, Lloyd examines the walls in front of them.

"So where do your feelings tell you we need to go next?" Nya's voice comes from his left, causing him to start slightly.

He glances at her before turning and pointing at the wall in front of them at a dark, mysterious cave entrance.

"I believe the teacher we're looking for is through there."

Behind him, Kai walks up and examines the entrance before turning to him and asking, in a slightly sarcastic tone, "And there aren't going to be deadly tentacles grabbing us in there?"

Lloyd looks at him worriedly then back at the cave, "I didn't say that."

Kai sighs and wraps an arm around his waist, whispering into his ear, "I know, let's just hope there aren't any." He then gives him a kiss on the cheek and starts to walk into the cave, the others right behind him.

The further they walk in the darker it gets, and soon everyone is struggling to make out anything in the sudden pitch blackness.

"How can it be so dark in here?" Arin wonders aloud, "The cave mouth is right behind us." Turning slightly he looks behind them at the entrance, only to find that the entrance is no longer there.

He gasps and Sora turns to also look. Ahead of them, Kai lights one of his hands on fire, confidently saying, "I got this. Time to shine."

For a moment it seems like it's working, but then the cave starts to get even darker, despite his flame.

Nya turns to look back at the kids and Lloyd, asking, "Is it getting darker?" her voice echoes as the darkness consumes her and the others, hiding them from Kai's sight.

"Ah, technical difficulties." Kai hurriedly says, extinguishing his fire.

"I'll have us back in a sec."

After a moment he relights his hand, and this time it seems to work.

Smiling, he turns to face the others, "There you g–" but no one is there, "Hey, where'd everyone go?"

Panic shoots through Kai as he frantically looks around for the others.

"Lloyd?! Nya?! Wyldfyre?! Arin?! Sora?! Riyu?!" He shouts, but there's no response.

He starts to run, trying desperately to find someone, something in the darkness.

"Guys!! Where are you!?!"
