At the police station, Terry and Violet visit Commissioner Viva Springwater for answers about The Joker.
Viva: Go away.
Terry: Morning, commish.
Violet: Auntie.
Viva: You understand English, you two? Scram.
Terry: Love to. But, first what can you tell us about clowns?
Viva: In this town they're never funny.
Violet: I noticed that.
Terry: Now this Joker—
Viva: Drop it, kid.
Terry: That's what the old man's been saying.
Viva: Listen to him.
Terry: Hey look, I know this fruitcake was one of the big bad guys from the cape and cowl days.
Viva: He was more than that.
Terry: What? A garden-variety wacko who threatened people with whoopee cushions and squirting flowers? Big deal, I'm shaking.
Viva: McGinnis! The Joker, the real Joker, was unlike anyone you've ever faced. And for your sake, I hope you never do. If Branch wants you to drop it, then drop it.
Women Over The Phone: Commissioner, your 9 o'clock is here.
Viva: Send him in. You two were leaving?
Violet: Figure we were.
As they walk out, Tim Drake walked in.
Tim: Thanks for seeing me, Viva.
Viva: That's what I'm here for.
