1. Two different world

In the tranquil silence of the early morning, Veda knelt before the towering statues of Shiva and Parvati, bathed in the soft glow of oil lamps that flickered with devotion. It was 6 a.m., the hour of serenity, where the world was just waking from its slumber.As Veda closed her eyes, her lips still murmuring prayers, the first rays of the rising sun broke through the temple's carved windows.

Veda open her eyes when she felt warm of sun rays. Her eyes, still reflecting the depth of her meditation, sparkled like the surface of a calm lake catching the first light of dawn.

Her long, dark hair caught the light in strands of deep amber, cascading over her shoulders in soft waves. The rays highlighted the delicate curves of her face - her high cheekbones, the graceful arch of her brow, and the gentle slope of her lips, which held a peaceful, almost celestial smile. The traditional dress she wore shimmered softly in the sun.In that moment, Veda was a vision of beauty and grace, blending seamlessly with the divine energy of the temple.

As Veda finished her prayer, she bowed one last time before she leve, her hands pressed together in a final gesture of gratitude. Veda hurriedly made her way toward the temple's exit. Her bare feet tapped lightly against the cool stone floor as she moved swiftly.

Veda walks quickly toward the temple doors, Just as she reaches for the handle to leave, she hears a sweet voice behind her.

"Veda beta!"

Veda stops, turning around quickly. Her hair sways in the air as she faces Pandit Ji, who stands with a kind smile, holding her puja ki thali.

"You forgot your thali, beta."pandit ji said with newer fading smile.Veda Realizing her mistake, Veda's eyes widen, and she smiles sheepishly."Oh! I was in such a rush. Thank you, Pandit Ji."as she was moving towards pandit ji. A little embarrass show up on her face.Pandit Ji hands her the thali, pandit Ji said out of curiosity "Beta looks like you are in rush today."

"Aaj to sachame jaldi hae hamari Veda madam ji ko" Myra said with some big smile."Ji haa pandit ji hamari didi apne bhai ke vapas aane ki khusi me kuchha jadahi kus hae"Vidya joining Myra. After hearing this a big smile appeared on Veda face."achha!! Vivek beta London se aaj vapas aaraha hai?"pandit ji said with smile."Ha, pandit ji" Veda continue her smile and saying while looking down"

In the kitchen

The kitchen is filled with the aroma of spices as Meera, Veda's mother, stirs a pot on the stove. Meera, dressed in a simple cotton saree. Veda stands nearby, leaning against the counter, her arms crossed, trying to convince her mother.

"Mom, please! Let me go pick up Vivek bhaiya from the airport. I haven't seen him in months!" Veda said while pleading.Meera continues cooking, her eyes focused on the task at hand. She doesn't look up, her tone firm but gentle."You have college today, Veda. You can't miss it just to go to the airport."Veda sighs, frustrated but trying to stay calm. "I can miss one day, it's not a big deal. Besides, Vivek bhaiya will be so happy if I'm the one who picks him up."Veda said while moving closer to the stove, waching her mom.

Meera finally glances up at her daughter, giving her a knowing look as she stirs the pot."Your studies are more important right now. College isn't something you skip for no reason." Meera said with sternly but with affection.Veda groans, throwing her hands in the air dramatically."But it's not no reason! Vivek's coming home after so long, and I want to surprise him."

Meera turns off the stove and wipes her hands on her saree, turning to face Veda fully now."Veda, I know you love your brother, but there will be other chances to do things like this. Right now, you need to take your responsibilities seriously. Your father can pick him up."
