I came out of the shower to see no one in the room

I came out of the shower to see no one in the room. Wearing a comfortable cotton kurti and leggings, I tied my hair up in a ponytail, with a few strands of hair left loose.

I loved my hair. They were one of the best parts about my features.

When I saw the house silent, I knew that Arsh had left. So I went straight towards the refrigerator because it's his habit to leave some message on the refrigerator magnet when he can't say goodbye to me face to face.

There it was, his message on the small, yellow, square magnet pad, in his neat cursive.

You are right, I should start waking up early. I just hope I don't get late for today's hearing.
Take care, and eat on time.
-love, your pookie<3

I smiled at the last line. For the last few days, I've been calling him a pookie because that just sounded cute on the Instagram reels.

Initially he didn't like being called that, but then he accepted the fact that I'm not stopping anytime soon. So he gave in.

I smiled and kept the note in the box which held all the other previous notes. He doesn't know it, but I've been collecting every single note he wrote for me since the first time. They are just too cute to be thrown away.

After that, I walked to my favourite place in the house, my garden.

When we got married, I never really liked planting and gardening. I was an artist through and through. But as I spent days here, I realised how much I actually enjoy it. So I asked my pookie to buy me some plants.

He took me with him and we bought so many plants, cute, little, adorable ones. I felt bad that day to have spent so much on plants, but as always he dismissed the thoughts saying he earns enough to fulfil all my wishes.

That's not a lie though.

And now, after three and a half years of caring for them and nurturing them, I have made myself a place full of peace and comfort.

I walked and sat down on the small bench which we thrift from a local market. It was adorable and fluffy.

I was just wondering about what to make for lunch when I heard the house of being walked on dried leaves. That made me alert and my heartbeat rose. I quickly got up, and in the process my leg hit one of my favourite flower pots on the ground.

But this was not the time to get sad.

So I turned around and looked at the intruder, only to find an orange cat looking at me innocently.

Oh. Oh.

I gushed at her cuteness and walked towards her with a wide smile. But I think I scared her off since she ran away.

Nooo, she is too cute! I just wanted to pat her head.

I groaned to myself and defeated, walked back towards the bench when my eyes trailed on the broken pot.

That one.....was gifted to me by Arsh on our two year anniversary.

Noooooo!

fun fact, it's arsh's duty to make breakfast while lunch & dinner is made by disha
