You caught me!" Kaoru gasped.

He didn't take his eyes off of the hooded guy. Kojiro took a step back. Kaoru hadn't said a thing to him. He watched those amber color eyes widened. Their pupils darkened as they drank in the sight of the man holding him.

"You're pretty fast." The grey hoodie said.

"But you caught up to me." Kaoru repeated.

"Only when you decided to go for a swim with a skateboard. Sorry, I couldn't catch that." He added.

Kaoru blinked dumbfounded. Kojiro watched as the pink haired teen glanced around. His eyes skimmed over Kojiro, as if the president of their class was just another tree or rock. There was no sign of recognition on the teens face.

"Um, yeah, but uh... how did you catch me?" Kaoru asked.

Finally he lowered his hands from the other teens shoulders. The boy shrugged, as if shaking free of Kaoru's touch. He rolled his shoulders, giving the startled skater a lazy grin.

"I'm fast." He answered.

Kaoru huffed. "You didn't catch me until I fell, that's not that fast. I meant... did you fly?" He asked glancing behind him.

His golden eyes took in the drop. Down below were bone crushing rocks. Waves that would love to pound someone's body onto thee rocks. All of it would have meant certain death to on Kaoru Sakurayashiki. He swallowed the lump in his throat. There was a good nature laugh. It sounded so free, so caring, happy even. Kaoru turned his eyes back to those dancing pink orbs.

"I jumped, around the pole. It gave me the momentum I needed to catch you. Basic physics." The teen informed him. He took a step back.

"Names Adam. I'm from up the hill." He gestured vaguely to the richer part of town. Kaoru frowned.

He hated the inconsiderate jerks from up there. They were shallow, mean and only thought of themselves. It was such a toxic environment that he escaped every chance he got. It was part of the reason he begged his mom to attend the local high school. She had refused, of course. Instead Kojiro told him which school he had gotten into. To Kaoru's shock, it was one of the best around, only one was academically superior. The one Adam just announce he attend.

"Great, you're a Packer jerker!" Kaoru fumed backing another step away.

"I'm not into sports much, only there is a deck and four wheels." Adam smirked.

"Oh, this is Snake." He gestured to the man next to him.

A tall lean boy with dark black hair. His eyes were hidden behind a fringe of bangs. If Kaoru were to guess, he was a bit older than they were.

"What kind of name is Snake?" Kojiro muttered.

"The kind you won't ask about, once you see what those hips can do." Adam sneered.

"Hey, aren't you the newbies? The ones who came to the introductory class at the community theater tonight?" Kojiro asked.

"Yes, we are." Snake answered when Adam took too long.

"Thanks for saving Ka..." Kojiro began.

"Names Cherry. Cherry blossom." Kaoru interrupted him.

"This is my best friend Joe." He answered.

"The one who was too slow." Adam glanced over at him. Joe looked away.

"We should be going, sir. I stopped this for you." Snake handed a long board to Adam.

"Guess we will be seeing you around." Adam beamed at Cherry. He flicked his eyes to Joe. They darkened slightly. A storm seemed to flash within them, before he spoke.
