-Aki POV-
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow through the café window, Aki sat in her usual spot, her fingers nervously fidgeting with her phone. She had arrived early, hoping the familiar ambiance would help her sort through her swirling thoughts about Deimos. The lively chatter around her faded into the background as her mind replayed the moments they shared, each memory tinged with uncertainty.
Glancing at the clock for the fifth time, Aki felt a familiar flutter of anxiety. Should she end things with him? Doubt gnawed at her, making her heart heavy. She knew their relationship blurred the lines between teacher and student, and the thought of crossing that boundary weighed on her conscience. What if he didn't feel the same way anymore? What if she was just a mentor to him, a fleeting figure in his life?
Taking a deep breath, she turned her gaze to the window, watching the twilight settle over the city. The fading light felt like a ticking clock, urging her to make a decision. Finally, the weight of indecision became too much to bear. She needed to reach out, to connect, to understand where they stood.
The moment she hit send, a mix of relief and anxiety washed over her. Would he understand her feelings? Would he even come? Aki hoped for the best, though a small part of her worried about what she would say when he arrived.
As the minutes ticked by, the café's soft lighting dimmed slightly, creating an intimate atmosphere that made her heart race even more. She stared into her cup of tea, the steam rising and swirling like her thoughts. How could she express what she was feeling without risking their dynamic?
With a resolute nod to herself, she typed out a message.
Aki: Hi, Deimos-kun, this is the high school nurse, Aki
Deimos-kun, I'm sorry to ask you this at this hour but could we meet up?
Deimos: Sure, Aki-san, anything for you
...This is the direction "..."
"Haaa... Is this the right decision, I wonder?" Aki sighed softly, her heart heavy with uncertainty. Deep down, she knew she wanted to be with him—she longed for the warmth of his embrace, the simple joy of cooking together, and the sweetness of spoiling him while letting him spoil her in return.
She dreamed of all the moments they could share, from quiet nights in to playful adventures, ever since she'd told her mother she wanted to marry a man who made her heart flutter.
Her beautiful purple eyes shimmered with a blend of confusion, sadness, and resolve as she stared into her empty coffee cup. The dark blue strands of her hair framed her face, partially hiding her uncertain expression.
On her way to the café, she couldn't help but notice the lingering gazes of men as she walked by. Some were appreciative, others curious, but the attention only heightened her anxiety. She was dressed to feel confident, yet their stares made her feel exposed and self-conscious.
Earlier after going out of school, she had gone home to change, seeking a fresh start for their meeting. Now, she wore a low-cut violet top that accentuated her ample cleavage, paired with a short, dark skirt that highlighted her curves. The black heels she had chosen added an air of confidence, though she couldn't shake the lingering doubts in her mind.
As she waited, the ambiance of the café felt both inviting and daunting. Would he see her the way she hoped? Would he understand the depths of her feelings? Aki's heart raced at the thought, every moment stretching as she prepared herself for the conversation ahead.
Just as she began to doubt herself, the door chimed, and her heart skipped a beat. There he was—Deimos, looking effortlessly cool as always, with that confident smile that made her stomach flutter. Aki felt her cheeks warm, a grin spreading across her face despite the heavy conversation looming ahead.
