"..."

"What's wrong? Aren't you going to do your introduction, A-zu-rin~?" Kodama said, smiling with that mix of amusement and mischief.

Azuki, still with her face flushed red, wanted to complain, but Deimos was just looking at her, calm with a smile. For some reason, the idea of looking bad in front of him was unbearable.

Kuh... Azuki gritted her teeth, and with no choice but to give in, went to take their order, the air of defeat practically palpable.

"Oh, and I'll have my usual Love Carbonara, and... mmm, Deimos will have the same,"

Kodama added with a casual smile. I don't want them bringing him an omelette with 'love' written on it, she thought to herself.

The food didn't take long to arrive. Azuki, still visibly frustrated, placed the plates on the table quickly, avoiding Deimos's gaze.

Kodama, on the other hand, was in a fantastic mood. As she enjoyed her meal, she couldn't help but notice how the other waitresses were stealing glances at Deimos every now and then. What do they even see in him? she thought, irritated.

"So, what do you think of the Love Carbonara?" Kodama asked with a triumphant smile, taking a bite of her food.

"It's really good."

Deimos nodded with a slight smile as he chewed. And Kodama could see it in his eyes: he was loving it.

Just as they finished eating and were about to leave, one of the waitresses approached them.

"E-excuse me."

"Yes?" Deimos responded, oblivious to the tension in the air.

"C-could I... get your number?"

Hah? Kodama couldn't believe what she was hearing. This girl... who does she think she is?

Disgust and anger began to show on her face, her eyes narrowing dangerously toward the waitress.

Deimos stared at the girl for a moment, his expression curious. Then, he gave her an ironic smile.

"Sorry, but I can't. I'm on a date right now," he said with such ease, as if answering the most obvious question in the world.

Kodama let out a barely audible sigh, but the fire in her eyes remained. The girl, even more flustered, mumbled a quick apology and scurried away.

But Kodama was sure that waitress wouldn't forget this scene for a long, long time.

Outside, they found a bench where they could sit. Kodama stretched a little, noticing that

Deimos wasn't tired at all. How much stamina does this guy have? she thought, somewhat amused.

"So, Deimos, how was your day? Pretty pleasant, right?"

"Yeah, though it felt like I was being treated like a pack mule," he replied with a smile.

"Hmph, you should be grateful. Plenty of guys would die to be my shopping mule."

"Well, I guess to you, I'm just one of many guys, huh, Himegami?"

"...That's not true."

"Hmm~, I don't believe you. A girl as pretty as you wouldn't waste her time on a guy as normal as me."

Nothing about you is normal! she thought, irritated.

"I already told you it's not true!" Kodama raised her voice, feeling a bit of frustration bubbling up.

"Well, if that's true, then I guess you owe me a reward, don't you?"

"!"

Could it be... he wants my l-l-lips again?! The blush spread rapidly across her cheeks as her mind spiraled.
