It was a morning spring, wind blowing against the faces of students, cherry blossoms in their whole splendor, making a beautiful pink painting. For the girls, this was a recurrent sight that made their hearts grow stronger for the rest of the day, but there was something new in the school that caught most of the girls whole attention, men.
It was weird, to say the least; they have seen men, but not men in their school; after all, it was just last year that they were a school solely for women, so some of them were a little adolescent to the idea of becoming a co-ed school this year; even a number of the Senpais and Juniors dropped out after hearing the news, but of course they were little in comparison.
In the middle of the young ladies was a girl with a cute, beautiful face, blue eyes, and dark purple hair; her name was Amaya Haruko, and today she was excited; after all, today was the day she finally got to meet her childhood friends, Taki and Dei.
While walking across the street, she started reminiscing about her childhood memories; some were sad, but most of them were just pure blissful happiness. She just loved to remember how she and Taki were always cheered up by Deimos the moments something sad happened, how he was the first to celebrate their birthdays, and how he was the first to protect from danger.
'It's been so long since I have seen both of them; I wonder if Dei is still the same he was. I just hope he remembers his promise.
This was actually the thought that scared her the most: the fact that maybe they changed, that maybe they forgot her, and the fact that maybe Deimos had finally found someone special before she got the opportunity.
'Wait, what am I thinking!! It sounds like I like...him. NO!! I'm just worrying for Deimos. Yes, yes, that's right. What if some bad girl tricked Deimos? I won't allow any kind of impureness!!!'
She was agitating her head from side to side, battling her own thoughts—a pretty fun image if you didn't know her.
She started seeing the people around her start walking, making her snap out of it and checking her phone to see what hour it was. Seeing that if she doesn't hurry, they will get late, she started running towards the house that her childhood friends were in.
After about 5 minutes she managed to get to the house, realizing that maybe she was a little bit disheveled. She took out a small mirror in her bag and started accommodating her hair back in place. She didn't want her childhood friends to see her so worry-free, so she had to put an example, especially to Deimos. Feeling satisfied after seeing herself, she started calling the door.
"Taki, are you awake!?"
Bang! She heard something falling to the ground.
"Yes, ouch, I just woke up, gimme just a second."
"No, I can't wait any longer; we are going to get late to the first day; I'm coming in!!"
"Wait, Haruko, I haven't finished putting my clothes back on!!!"
"..." Haruko entered the room and finally saw her childhood friend, after many years, with orange hair, an undercut, and green eyes, behind a pair of glasses, all of that with a dumb expression adorned in his face.
"Haaaa, at least finish putting your clothes back on when someone is entering your room." Haruko sighed; he was still the same unprepared kid he was back then.
'So illogical,' he said in his mind.
"I told you before you entered the room." He made an unsatisfied face towards her. Haruko wasn't so shameless to not admit guilt and at least averted her eyes.
"Ok, ok. I'm sorry, it was my fault, anyways, is... he here?"
"Who?"
"Haaa, you still haven't changed, huh? Taki, where is Deimos?"
