I ran all over the room with my sister who "helped" me.
<Jess, where the fuck did you put my mascara?!> I screamed in her face.
<It's here! Come and I'll put it on you!>
100 layers of mascara in each eye, one stroke of eyelash curler. A glittery black dress that showed off my curves and made me flashy, ready to be the center of attention. The highest heels I had, but not too uncomfortable for dancing all night. The heaviest makeup humanity has ever seen. An incredibly sexy unruly ponytail.
<I L-O-V-E I-T> she spelled, as if it were all her doing.
<I have to go Jessie, the others are waiting for me> I replied taking my sequined bag.
<Tell your classmates that next time I'll come with you too, whether you want it or not>.
I gave her the thumbs up gesture, knowing well that I would never tell them about it. We waved one last time at each other before I closed the door.
I think I've already said it, but I'll say it again: I love a party more than anything in the world. I really like getting drunk and then coming back to myself the next day with a lot of problems.
The disco sign was brighter than my dress (and it was difficult on that occasion): Disco-I-Want-To-Break-Free.
It looked cool. I approached the door, seeing my classmates who had been waiting there for me.
<Hey Nancy! What do you think?> Britney asked me.
<It's fantastic. But what are we waiting for? Let's go inside!> I replied. A general enthusiasm arose from our little group, who ran inside in no time.
The place was beyond all expectations, with bright signs everywhere, loud music and red lights. It wasn't very crowded, there were the right people. Inside they all already seemed like dead drunks. I liked that environment so much; I would have stayed there forever. Everyone was dancing, drinking, singing at the top of their lungs and having fun like crazy. My friends and I immediately headed towards the counter.
My friend Stefania chose cocktails for all of us.
<What's in it?> Britney asked.
<I have no idea... But what does it matter to you?> she replied, swallowing it in one gulp.
We all laughed, taking several sips of the "mystery" drink. Only after I swallowed it did I truly realize how strong it was. I felt like my head was exploding, my brain was frying, my lips were burning, but I was fine. So good that I immediately threw myself on the floor to dance wildly. I don't remember exactly what happened next: I just have some flashbacks of other people as drunk as me dancing uncontrollably.
Then, a very vivid memory, imprinted in my mind. A person touched my shoulder, making me instinctively turn around.
<What are you doing here, little-leader?>.
It was a long-haired boy who asked that question and he died, with a nice pair of teeth and slightly dark skin. What was HE doing there!?
<I could ask you the same question, Freddie> I replied abruptly.
He laughed, then looked down. I knew perfectly well that that dress made the most of my body, making it more attractive. He looked at me from head to toe, with an expression of surprise. He wiped away the drool, before looking at me again.
<You know... I could take you to my bed>.
<What are you waiting for?>
<Ohhhhh. You must have drunk a lot>
