Geto's body landed on the ground hard. Rina landed in a crouch panting, her sweat dripping and fever already starting as she waited.
"What are you talking about?! I don't know about any sorcerers outside of this school, so I don't know if you're right or wrong. But I do know one thing. I know that in order to remain here with my friends and in order to believe it's okay that I'm still alive, I know what I have to do! I have to do it. I have no choice but to kill you!" Yuta yelled angrily, every word like bullets.
"You're a little egotistical." Geto said moving to stand again. "Nonetheless, just keep it up. Those daily affirmations. There's nothing more important in life. Unfortunately though, I'm going to use my full force to kill you both now. No more time for compromise. Are you aware there are only five people who are special grade? Among curses there are sixteen. Let me introduce you to one of them. Special grade, incarnate, Tamamo-no-mae. On top of that, I'll combine the 4,461 curses I possess into one and strike you with it." Geto said making both students panic. If Rina kept going who knows what would happen. She was pushing the limits of her technique. "Cursed spirit manipulation, supreme art. Maelstrom." A giant ball of mysterious black fluid-like substance swirled above Geto. "Okkotsu, I'm so happy. My timing was perfect because I came to kill you before you could fully unleash Rika Orimoto."
Yuta made his way to Rika, placing a hand on what one would call her snout.
"Rika." He said softly.
"Yes, Yuta?" She answered.
"Thank you, for always protecting me. Thank you, for falling in love with me. Just one last time, please, lend me your power. I have to stop him. I won't need anything else from you after that. I'll give you my future, my heart, my body." Yuta spoke and Rina sat on her butt with wide eyes and hand over her mouth. She felt like she was intruding. "I'll give you everything. From now on, we'll truly be together forever. I love you, Rika. Let's die together." He said and Rina turned back to look at them thinking it was cute.
She snapped her head right back around at the sight of him kissing the curse.
'What the fuck?' She thought as she sat with her eyes bulging out of her head almost.
"YUTA! YUTA! I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!" Rika shrieked.
"I never realized you were such a womanizer!" Geto shouted at him about to release his curses.
"Don't be rude. Our love is pure." Yuta spoke calmly as a giant pink and black ball of pure cursed energy swirled above him. Rika grabbed Rina harshly and threw her to the side for her protection.
"Fine. You fight for love. I'll fight to win." Geto said but it was no use.
Both unleashed their power, the bright pink beam blew everything in its wake. The surrounding buildings reduced to crumbs as the explosion obliterated them. Rina barely had enough cursed energy left as she returned to normal, throwing up her Mute body shield and crossing her arms as the intense force forced her to fly backwards. She hurled through the air as blinding pink consumed her vision entirely. A tear slipping from her eye as she felt the blast breaking through the Mute.
