As Rina finished the school year she didn't see much of Megumi after that hospital trip. It only got busier and busier for her and her classmates. Of course, they don't get a summer break either. She trained, ate, slept, and went on missions either with one of the other first years or alone. It was tiring to say the least, and every now and then she would mourn the loss of Suguru. Yet, his plans would've been catastrophic if they succeeded, she was on the fence whether he could've been save or should have died. Right and wrong waged a war inside her mind.
Gojo occasionally check in on her, when he could of course. He was more concerned with making sure Yuta was settled in Africa and talking to the higher ups.
Now, it was the beginning of the new year. Maki, Inumaki, Panda, Yuta, and Rina were all second years. Gojo called her and dropped some concerning news.
"What's up?" She asked as she took a big mouthful of her water, sitting with her classmates at a picnic table.
"Our new first year, Yuji Itadori, is the vessel for Ryomen Sukuna!" He said excited. Rina sprayed the water that was in her mouth in front of her.
"WHAT?!" She screamed.
"BONITO FLAKES?!" Inumaki yelled as he sat in front of her promptly drenched by her water spout, reasonably distressed. She waved him off annoyed.
"It's true! He swallowed the finger and can switch back and forth." Gojo said casually.
"Now what?" She asked in shock.
"Well, his execution is delayed, he's going to continue to find and eat the fingers until he's eaten them all. Then he'll be executed therefore killing Sukuna for good." He explained.
"All the fingers?! Is that even a good idea?!" She was sweating at the thought, unknowing how wrong it sounded as the second years stared at her in horror.
"Tuna?!" Inumaki asked mortified.
"Not sure." Gojo said curious now.
"What do they taste like?" She wondered aloud, earning even more distressed looks from her team.
"Uh...like bitter soap, I guess." She heard Yuji answer.
"AM I ON SPEAKER RIGHT NOW?!" Rina jumped up from her seat angrily.
"Of course! Megumi's here too, say hi Mahgoomie." Gojo said and she could hear the shit eating grin he had.
"Hi." Megumi said plainly.
"MEGUMI! I MISS YOU SO MUCH!" She said excited he even spoke.
"I can't say the same." He said monotone.
"Fushiguro, you're so mean." Yuji said and she heard the punch, cringing.
"I'm not mean. I just don't like her." Megumi said matter of factly.
