TAEKOOK. A story about childhood friends, Kook and Tae who promised to be each other's forever until unforseen events separated them.
What will happen when Taehyung's greedy uncle comes up with a wicked plan to deceive Jungkook by hiring an impostor...
Jungkook and Tae Rae were in the CEO’s office after meeting with the wedding planner Tae Rae had hired to handle the preparations for their upcoming wedding. The chosen venue was the ballroom of the Imperial Palace Hotel, ensuring it would be the grandest wedding Seoul had ever seen. Their wedding suits, from a prestigious luxury brand, had been selected by the impostor. Jungkook insisted on choosing the wedding rings himself, wanting to surprise Tae Rae on their special day. Tae Rae made sure to select the most expensive decorations and the most lavish wedding cake, knowing that Jungkook would indulge him. The only detail that bothered him was that the invitations would bear the name Kim Taehyung instead of Kim Tae Rae. However, he brushed it off, knowing that as Jungkook's husband, he would have all the wealth and luxury he desired. With Jungkook's money, he planned to ensure his name was changed in the marriage contract from Kim Taehyung to Kim Tae Rae after the wedding, legitimizing his place as the spouse of the most handsome and successful businessman in South Korea.
He was snapped out of his reverie when Jungkook called him. "Tae hyungie, this phone is for you. I noticed that yours is outdated. This is the latest model of iPhone," Jungkook said as he handed him the phone in the box. Tae Rae threw himself at Jungkook and hugged him.
"Thank you, babe. You're truly the best! You spoil me and I love it," Tae Rae beamed with delight as he opened the box and took out the pricey gadget. "Babe, what about our honeymoon? Can we have it in Greece?"
"How about Hawaii? You mentioned when we were kids that you wanted to go there but your parents were too busy."
"Babe, when you left with your grandfather when we were kids, my parents took me to Hawaii because I sulked and locked myself in my room for weeks," Tae Rae lied through his teeth.
Jungkook's eyes softened at that. "Okay, I'll tell Aera to cancel the tickets and hotel reservations for Hawaii and book us a trip to Greece. I need to leave now. I have a meeting with the investors. I'll ask the company driver to bring you to your apartment."
Tae Rae pouted and appeared disgruntled. "When can I move in with you? We'll be husbands in less than a month. Shouldn't we start living together?"
"Tae hyungie, I'm renovating the penthouse to your liking. You told me what you would like our house to be when we were kids, remember? You can't move in with me until the renovations are done. I told the engineer to finish them before the wedding," Jungkook reasoned.
Tae Rae reluctantly agreed. “It won't be long anyway, and soon I'll be Jungkook's husband. I can't wait to live with him,” he thought to himself. "Fine, I can wait until the wedding but could you buy me a car? It would be more convenient for both of us. You wouldn't have to bother your company driver to take me home or drive me around."
"Okay, but I will still assign a driver for you. The driver will also be your bodyguard. I can't leave you unprotected. What if your uncle tries to hurt you?"
"I'm fine with that," Tae Rae beamed. "Thanks, babe."
"Um, Hyungie, the barista, Taehyung-ssi said something to me last time. He said that he's my real fiancé and that you are fake," Jungkook confessed, already looking at Tae Rae.
