"IT'S TOO SOFT,"

"No way,"

"Yep, too soft," Valerie shifted her eyes between the reference photo and what was in front of them.

"But we baked it for 3 extra minutes,"

"Maybe the oven is broken?"

Bucky sighed. "You mean to tell me, that in this billion-dollar tower, there's a defective oven?"

"Stranger things have happened,"

"Like what," He deadpanned.

"Your boyfriend succumbing to his serial-killer alter ego, snapping out of it, then pretending he has amnesia,"

Silence fell upon the pair as his lips thinned into a line.

"I'm just saying," She shrugged.

"Okay, all jokes aside, what do we do now? This is our third failed attempt,"

"I don't know, give it to Sam again?"

"You're suggesting we give your patient salmonella from undercooked sourdough,"

"He was fine the last two attempts," She argued.

Bucky chuckled as he moved to throw the entire travesty in the garbage, ignoring her protests. She moved to stop him, making remarks about 'wasting food' and 'what about the starving children' but he simply grabbed her hands.

"Doll, you can't always fix everything," He soothed jokingly.

"Oh, don't do that," She laughed. "You can't take my job from me,"

"But I do such a good job at it,"

"Now that you mention it, it is extremely unethical for me to continue being your therapist since we're--"

"Since we're what?" He pulled her into him, raising his brows suggestively.

"Since we're doing what we do,"

His hands had a hard grasp on her hips, his fingers softly poking into her sides as she struggled to get away. "What do we do?"

"Oh, you know," Her words came in between laughs.

"I don't--but I really want you to show me--"

His voice was cut off by a knock at the door. She looked at him expectantly as his eyes rolled as far back into his head as they possibly could. "You know, it would be very lovely to have our own place, doll. Miles from here."

She simply giggled, peering around him from the kitchen as he opened the door.

"Steve," Bucky greeted. "We're busy--"

"You need to come to the conference room, we're having a meeting--hi, Valerie,"

She shot him a sheepish wave. Steve's eyes caught only a glimpse of her from behind Bucky's frame, dipping down but darting away quickly. Bucky stood up straighter as he caught the action, nodding curtly before shutting the door.

He then turned to her, frowning at her sly smile. "That's not funny,"

She scoffed in protest. "You wanted me to wear it,"

"For my eyes," He growled.

"You can barely see anything, it's a full length apron,"

His eyes slowly traced the outline of her, nodding in agreement as he couldn't see much from the front. However, it didn't take a rocket scientist--or a super soldier--to know there wasn't anything underneath it.
