You've been in a talking stage with Jungkook for a few weeks now, and it's been nothing short of a whirlwind. Jungkook, one of the most popular kids in school, charming and very hard to resist.
You were excited but also a bit nervous when he asked you to go to the high school football game with him. The game is a huge deal— it's the homecoming game and everyone will be there.
As you walk into the stadium together, you can feel the buzz of the crowd. People are whispering and pointing, and you can hear conversations about you and Jungkook.
"Look, there's Jungkook with Y/N," someone says.
Another person pats Jungkook on the back, saying, "You made the right choice, man. Don't fumble this one!"
Jungkook just grins and winks at you, making your heart race even more.
Girls from your class are also smiling at you as you pass by. "You're so lucky, Y/N," one of them says, and you can't help but blush.
Jungkook seems to be enjoying all the attention.
"You okay?" he asks, leaning in close so you can hear him over the roar of the crowd.
You nod, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
You and Jungkook are sitting on the bleachers, the cool night air filled with the sounds of the football game and the cheers of the crowd.
"Did you see that play?" Jungkook asks, leaning in close so you can hear him over the noise. His breath is warm against your ear, and you can't help but shiver a little.
"Yeah, that was amazing!" you reply, turning to look at him.
His eyes are sparkling with excitement, and you feel a flutter in your chest.
He grins and nudges your shoulder. "You know, I think our team might actually win this time."
You laugh, shaking your head. "Don't jinx it, Jungkook. We still have a whole half to go."
He chuckles, his eyes never leaving yours. "Fair enough. So, how's everything been with you? School treating you okay?"
You nod, taking a sip of your soda. "Yeah, it's been good. A lot of studying for AP World History, though. We're covering monasticism right now."
"Monasticism? What's that?" he asks, genuinely curious.
"It's basically the religious way of life, when someone devotes themselves fully to spiritual work," you explain. "Kind of like monks and nuns."
"Interesting," he says, leaning back and stretching his arms. "You always know the coolest stuff."
You smile, feeling a little proud. "Thanks, Jungkook. How about you? How's everything with you?"
He shrugs, looking out at the field. "Same old, same old. Just trying to keep up with everything. But hanging out with you always makes things better."
You feel your cheeks heat up at his words. "You're sweet, you know that?"
He laughs, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Only for you."
As the game continues, you both get more into it, shouting and cheering for your school.
During halftime, Jungkook turns to you with a mischievous grin.
"Hey, wanna make a bet?" he asks.
You raise an eyebrow. "What kind of bet?"
"If our team wins, you owe me a kiss," his eyes twinkling with mischief.
You laugh, shaking your head. "And if they lose?"
"Then I owe you a kiss," he replies without missing a beat.
You roll your eyes but can't help but smile. "Alright, deal."
As the game goes on, the tension builds, and you find yourself getting more and more excited.
The game is intense, but you and Jungkook are having the time of your lives. At one point, he playfully snatches your phone from your hand and takes off running.
"Jungkook, give it back!" you shout, laughing as you chase after him. He looks back, grinning mischievously, and you can't help but laugh even harder.
When you finally catch up to him, you both burst out laughing, out of breath but exhilarated.
During the final quarter, Jungkook tells you he needs to go somewhere for a few seconds. "Wait right here, okay?" he says, giving you a quick peck on the cheek before disappearing into the crowd.
You stand there, wondering what he's up to, when suddenly he reappears, holding a large poster and a bouquet of flowers.
The poster reads, "Y/N, will you go to homecoming with me? And will you be my girlfriend?" Your heart skips a beat as you read the words.
Jungkook stands there, looking a bit nervous but mostly hopeful. The crowd around you starts to cheer, and people start taking pictures and videos of the moment.
You look at Jungkook, his eyes full of anticipation, and you can't help but smile. "Yes, of course!" you say, throwing your arms around him.
The crowd erupts into cheers, and Jungkook lifts you off your feet in a joyous hug. "You've made me the happiest guy in the world, Y/N," he whispers in your ear.
Suddenly the final buzzer sounded signaling the end of the game. You all look up at the score board to see your team had somehow won.
Jungkook turns to you, his grin wide. "Looks like you owe me a kiss."
You laugh, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.
"A bet's a bet," you say, leaning in.
As your lips meet, you feel a rush of warmth and happiness. The kiss is brief but sweet, and when you pull away, Jungkook is looking at you with a soft smile.
"That was worth the wait."
