Maddie's POV
i missed her, of course. I would always miss her. But i knew. I knew i had to move on eventually. I knew i had to be strong for the sake of others. I decided it was time to go through the room i shared with Kenzie. I searched everywhere for something. Maybe a note or something. I just needed to know why. Then it hit me. Mackenzie left her diary hidden underneath her bed in an old shoebox. I immediately searched her bed to find the box and eventually, i did. As i opened it i noticed another book in there too, another book entitled "I'm so sorry" with her signature in the bottom right corner. I turned the cover and began reading,
"Maddie, i know are going to be the first person to notice this book. But please do me one last favor, don't read this book until you have the following people with you, Nia, Paige, Brookie, Kendall, Payton, Chloe, and Kalani because throughout the rest of this book is the answer to the question you all have been probably trying to figure out, "why i killed myself."
