The school bell rang, marking the end of the last class before summer vacation. The students were buzzing with excitement, their enthusiasm spilling over as they dashed toward the school buses. The air was filled with the sound of laughter, shouts, and the rustling of bags being packed in a hurry.Bora, her heart racing with anticipation, sprinted toward the bus. “Oppa!” she shouted as she caught sight of Woon Hak standing near the bus, waiting for her.
“Bora! Come here!” Woon Hak called, waving her over with a smile. They both boarded the bus and found seats next to each other.
“So, you’re coming to my house today, right?” Bora asked, her eyes bright with excitement.
Woon Hak nodded, grinning. “Yup! We’re heading to grandma’s house tomorrow. My mom said she’d pack my things and meet me at your place in the morning, so I’ll be staying with you tonight.”
Bora’s face lit up even more. “Yeahhh, I can’t wait! Let’s go home, and I’ll start packing. Party, party, yeahhhh!”
The two of them laughed together as the bus rolled away from the school, full of eager children, all looking forward to their vacations.

When they arrived at Bora’s house, her mother, Nara, greeted them at the door with a warm smile. “Welcome home, kids!”
“Mom, when is dad coming home?” Bora asked as she set her school bag down.
“He’s on his way, darling,” Nara replied. “You can start packing your bags before he gets here. Then we’ll have dinner together.”
“Okay, Mom!” Bora ran off toward her room, with Woon Hak following behind.
As Bora began gathering her things, Woon Hak leaned against the doorframe. “Do you want my help?” he offered.
Bora rolled her eyes playfully. “Obviously!”
They started packing together, filling Bora’s suitcase with clothes, beach gear, and everything else she might need for the trip. The thought of visiting her grandmother’s house for the first time filled Bora with excitement. It wasn’t just any ordinary house—it was a beach house.
“Oppa,” Bora said, her eyes wide with curiosity, “have you been to grandma’s house before?”
“Yeah,” Woon Hak replied, pausing for a moment. “Maybe two or three times.”
“What’s it like? It must be heavenly,” Bora imagined.
Woon Hak smiled. “It’s beautiful. You’ll love it. There are a few neighboring houses, but not too many. And you can see the ocean from the balcony.”
Bora’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “It sounds amazing! I can’t wait!”
Just then, they heard the front door open. “Bora!! Daddy’s home!!” came Jungkook’s voice, echoing through the house.
“Dad’s here!” Bora shouted, bolting out of the room.
She ran to meet her father, flinging herself into his arms. “We’re going to grandma’s, right?”
Jungkook laughed and hugged her tightly. “Don’t worry, sweetie, I’m not canceling that plan.”
“Yayyy!!” Bora squealed with joy.
“Dinner’s ready!” Nara called from the kitchen, and the family gathered around the table for a cozy meal.
After dinner, Bora decided to sleep early so she could stay awake during the car ride to her grandmother’s house. Woon Hak, on the other hand, went to bed in the guest room.

The next morning, the house was alive with the sounds of Bora’s excitement. She dashed through the halls, calling out to everyone. “Wake up! Wake up! Everyone, wake up!”
Jungkook was already up, doing his morning workout. He glanced at his daughter and shook his head, amazed by her boundless energy. “OMG! What are you? How can you be so active in the morning?”
Bora giggled, running past him. “I’m your daughter, Dad. Duh!”
Without hesitation, she barged into the guest room where Woon Hak was still half-asleep. “OMG! OMG! OMG! Wear some clothes, you brat!” she exclaimed, covering her eyes dramatically. “Ahhh, my eyes!!”
Woon Hak groaned, pulling the blanket over his head. “Yah! You’re the one who barged in without knocking.”
“Shut up and get ready!” Bora retorted, laughing as she rushed back out of the room.
A moment later, the doorbell rang. “I’ll get it!” Bora shouted, running to the door.
She opened it to find her Uncle Seok Jin and Aunt Hye Kyo standing there. “Hi, kid!” Seok Jin greeted her with his usual playful grin.
“Hi, Jin uncle! Hi, aunty!” Bora said, smiling up at them.
“Hie, baby,” Hye Kyo replied, stepping inside. “Are you all ready?”
Nara came out from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel. “Good morning, unnie!”
Hye Kyo hugged her. “Hey, Nara!”
Jungkook appeared behind them, nodding to Seok Jin. “Hey, hyung.”
“Hey, brat,” Seok Jin shot back with a smirk.
Bora was practically bouncing on her toes. “Everyone’s ready, Jin uncle. Let’s go!!!”
Seok Jin chuckled. “Okay, ma’am! Let’s go!”

After a quick breakfast and packing some snacks for the ride, the group piled into their cars and set off on the road trip. The journey was full of laughter and fun, with Bora unable to contain her excitement. She gazed out the window, dreaming of the beach, the waves, and her grandmother’s house.
After a few hours, they finally arrived at the beach house. The salty sea breeze welcomed them as they stepped out of the car, and standing at the front door, with her arms wide open, was Yoo Jin, Bora’s grandmother.
“Welcome home, kids!” Grandma Yoo Jin beamed. “I’ve got so many kids, oh my goodness!”
The adventure had just begun.
