"Dreams"- that's what motivates me. I've always wanted to be able to achieve my dreams since I was a little girl. I knew it was hard, and I knew that as a not-so-privileged person, I would not be respected like the others but I would earn their respect and impress them.
"Class is over, pack your things" I snapped out of my bubble when I heard my professors demand, Dr. Prof. Franken I admire him. He is the person I want to be. A smart hard-working person, humble, and does not misuse his power-"excuse me" I heard. "Miss Amandi?" I froze. I looked up to meet his unreadable eyes looking into my, probably tired, eyes. "You still haven't paid this semester, and the next one starts soon. You have to hurry, I can't cover for you anymore, they're starting to lose their patience." a warning and also worrying look hits me. I groaned, I could groan every second but it wouldn't help my problem, nothing would. I know it's not their fault, I mean they need their money but it's just so unfair, I deserve to be here and I don't want some dumb reason like money to stop me. "next week!" "3 days" "6 days" "5 days" "Ugh fine 5 days and you will see the money, I promise!" I take my organized backpack and run out of the lecture room. Next stop: work
—— location: London "Ping" is the sound I hear when I hit my little ball against the wall. " why is my life like this" I was all over the place after hearing the "news". "Yo how can you be fine with your parents deciding everything for you, I mean do you even want this?" I tried to find comfort and someone to relate with, but I can't seem to find anyone who understands the issue; it's like they accept it and move on. But why can't I do the same? "Why are you bitching around, you'll be fine man. Acting like it's the end of the world" Mason turned to me and gave me a reality check. He has been my best friend since birth, he's the only one who tells me the truth and does not care about family status, why should he that man's family owns all big horse racing companies. He is the only one on my level. The only one I respect. I mean I don't wanna sound arrogant but all others are beneath me, I can have everything. He's right; why am I bitching around? " my bad, let's go now" I laughed and took my jacket. "Finally, Mat" Mason turned his built body around to leave the room. But deep inside, I still wonder. —
The loud music fills my ears while I stand next to the kitchen to get myself a drink. "Matthew my man!!" I heard someone scream my name, I didn't even have to look to see who it was: Paul Rangers. The guy who dies to be me.
"How is it goinggg" he comes to dap me up „Paul, you did this good" I complimented him for planning all this. He is known for his marvellous parties so he seems unbothered by my comment. I could never do a party, that's not my thing. I'm not a giver I mostly receive. "Maya and Lin are over there, right next to the other bar" Paul gave me directions to them, and I gave him thanking eyes. I rarely say thanks, only to people I respect, other than that that's not what we do.
I walked to Maya, she is my girl but also not..it's complicated, more like an on-off thing but at the end of the day she always comes back no matter what I do. I smirked at that thought. "What you smiling about Handsome" Maya asked and took my hand to move herself closer "Thinking 'bout you." I mean did I lie tho? "I missed you, you know..." she whispered and looked deep into my eyes. She's about to miss even more when I'm gone. I just kissed her. She doesn't need to know, not yet. I need to find a perfect moment and right now is not one, she would flip, understandably.
She woke me up from my thoughts and dragged me to the dance area. I bet she doesn't know that I think that much or even a bit, probably assumed I was zoomed out, many think that. They believe that I'm dull inside.
—- location: Springfield "Hot white chocolate with no sugar!!" I screamed the order. A tall beautiful girl with volumes brown hair that held loose curls walked over "That must be me love" I gave her the order. She looked at my name tag and shrunk her eyes "Do I know you, sweetie?" "I assume we might go to the same college" Girls like her always go to my school. "Springfield?" She asked. I nod. "Oh..oh I wouldn't have guessed that..yes Khelanie right? I'll see you at campus, byee!!" I mean she seemed surprised to see me work here. I can see that from her checking me out. She doesn't want to see me on campus if she would I would have known her name. I just chuckled because this was just weird and ridiculous.
I took the next order and continued my work
... I fell into my bed and just breathed out "Finallyy" I told myself. Until Amina bursts into my room. "Kheli pleasee tell me you have an eyeliner please please" and begged for my stuff, as always. I pointed with my eyes where my makeup bag was. "But don't ruin it, it's expensive" I warned her because my bank account does not scream for new makeup products. I like spending a little bit more on things that I enjoy doing, so I got the one or other Huda Beauty product that shall not be destroyed by a not careful roommate. "Leave noww I want to take a shower" I just want to be alone for a moment and take a hot shower! "You sure you don't want to come" again this aggregating annoying question. I swung my head towards her to signal her leaving. "Fine fine I'm gonna leaveee"
I come out of the shower to finally hear the entrance door being closed. Now I will take my school stuff out and study till- I don't even know. Fresh and ready I take myself to my desk to start my studies. Unlocking the grey iPad something in me made me stop for a second. In that second I look at my pen. A nasty feeling crawls up my stomach. Jealousy
I envy Amina, even tho she is my friend. Am I wrong to feel like this, I'm supposed to support her and not feel jealous. But she is so carefree and does what she wants, just herself and no concern. Compared to her I am so boring and dull .... Anyway, I need to start my work. My hands take my pen to start writing but before that, I need to turn off my phone. As I was about to turn my phone off, so I wouldn't get distracted I got a message from Amina. I let Siri read it out loud: "You won't guess what happened, I'm going to flip out" My eyebrows crunched together. "Now what happened again, this girl is just-" I took a breath. A big one. My next decision was split. Should I ghost her or answer?
————————————————————————— Is she going to answer and find out what happened?
