Clumsy meet up
========⛦=======Y/n pov-
I was sleeping peacefully in my bed, wrapped in the warmth of my duvet, when suddenly, "Y/NNN! GET YOUR ASS UP, IT'S YOUR FIRST DAY OF UNI!" My mother barged in, her voice loud enough to wake the dead. She yanked the duvet away from me, making me groan in protest.
I slowly cracked open my eyes and glanced at the clock. It was only 7:00 a.m., way too early. "It's only 7, Mom, let me sleep for at least 15 more minutes," I mumbled sleepily, already pulling the duvet back over myself. But of course, my mom wasn't having any of it.
"No, Y/N, get up! I don't want you rushing around without even having breakfast. It's not good for your health to skip meals. Get ready and come down," she said sternly as she walked out of the room.
"Fine, Dr. Eomma," I groaned, rolling out of bed.
Dragging myself to the bathroom, I started my morning routine. After what felt like a lifetime, I was finally dressed in a tank top under a white sweater, paired with ripped jeans. I kept my makeup light and let my hair fall loose over my shoulders, brushing it just enough to tame it.
Downstairs, I sat at the dining table, waiting for breakfast. Soon, my mom appeared with a plate full of pancakes. I thanked her and wasted no time digging in. After finishing, I gave her a quick goodbye kiss and headed out to my car.
When I arrived at the university, I parked and stepped out, scanning the crowd for a familiar face. It didn't take long before I spotted him-Jimin, waving at me from a distance with his trademark bright smile. I waved back with the same energy and ran over, giving him a high-five and a playful butt bump, our usual greeting.
"Aish, I never thought I'd miss you, monkey," Jimin teased, pulling me into a hug.
This was Park Jimin, my best friend since childhood. He was cheerful, always with an angelic smile on his face, and the one person who had been with me through everything. His family was just as wealthy as mine, and our fathers were business partners and best friends, which only strengthened our bond.
We walked toward our class, entering a room full of unfamiliar faces. As I scanned the room, my gaze landed on him-a guy sitting by the window. His sapphire blue eyes caught the light, shimmering like the ocean at dawn. One of his eyes had a mono eyelid, the other a double, a unique feature that oddly mesmerized me. I couldn't stop staring, completely lost in the depths of his gaze.
A hand on my wrist jolted me back to reality. I blinked and looked up to see Jimin grinning at me, pulling me toward an empty bench. "Come on, we can sit here," he said, pointing two rows behind the window guy.
Jimin slid into the seat, but I insisted on taking the edge-prime position for sneaking glances at him.
Time passed, and I found myself zoning out, once again staring at the mysterious guy by the window. "Y/N, you look like a total creep staring at some random dude," Jimin whispered, snapping me out of it. Flustered, I quickly looked away, but not for long-my eyes were drawn back to those blue orbs.
Soon, the professor entered, and the lecture began. I tried to focus, but my mind kept wandering back to him. The class felt like it dragged on forever, but when it finally ended, I watched as the guy with the sapphire eyes packed up and walked out. My heart raced-I wanted to talk to him, but how? What could I say?
I grabbed a sticky note and pen, trying to come up with something clever to write. But nothing came to mind. Frustrated, I tapped the pen against my lips, deep in thought, when suddenly, a head popped up in front of me.
"Hii," a voice said, startling me so much that I backed up, slipping off the bench and landing hard on the floor. I groaned, clutching my back as the pain shot through me.
Jimin and the person who'd appeared out of nowhere rushed to help me. They pulled me up, and I sat back on the bench, still trying to process what had just happened. My eyes stung as dust from the desk seemed to have gotten into them. Rubbing my eyes, I cursed the universe for this ridiculous situation.
After a moment, I opened my eyes, blinking through the blurry vision. A face hovered in front of me, concern written all over it. "Y/N, are you okay?" the voice asked.
"Jimin? Is that you?" I asked, squinting.
"You lost your lens?" Jimin asked, already knowing the answer.
"I lost my lens." I mumbled. we both said in unison, though his tone was more of a question, while mine was a whine.
I groaned again, burying my face in my hands. Jimin was laughing at my state . I threw my bag at his face but he caught it. He rummaged through my bag and pulled out my glasses. "This is your tenth lens, you clumsy ass," he teased, gently putting the glasses on my face. Then, he flicked my forehead playfully, making me hiss and try to kick him, only for my foot to hit the metal bar under the desk.
I let out a yelp of pain, while Jimin collapsed in laughter, rolling on the floor like it was the funniest thing in the world. I glared at him, only to hear another laugh, quieter and closer.
Turning my head, I saw him- the guy with the sapphire eyes-standing nearby, clearly trying to stifle his amusement. He stepped forward, offering his hand with a warm smile. "Hi," he said, his voice smooth and deep. My heart skipped a beat.
My eyes stayed fixed on him, frozen in place. He waved his hand in front of me. "Hello? Is something wrong?"
I snapped out of it. "Oh! Sorry, I got lost in thought," I stammered, embarrassed. My cheeks flushed pink as I shook his hand.
He chuckled. "Btw, I'm Kim Taehyung, Nice to meet you."
